He isn't egotistical in the sense he is self cantered and only thinks about himself because he thinks about his family too, but he has being selfish because as he said in today's episode. he can no longer see anyone need's but his own (this includes his family). He was selfish in forcing Survi to stay with his family when she wanted to leave. He had a big ego in thinking that she wouldn't leave, despite him, because he said that he would choose when people left his life. So he was egotistical in that sense.

If he is as bad as he talks about himself, we'll have to see in upcoming episodes.😆
