Okay just watched that scene. You're right, it was both funny and tragic 😭btw I really disliked neha-abir scenes..why were the makers misguiding us with those scenes as if neha is getting married to abir? 😡

And that too after the intense painting and love realization scene was superb..

As all of you said almost all reminded him of Mishti directly...and even Mishti called him..

Are aise phone chodke kaun bhagtha Hein..😆

And Kunal wanting to do a sorry gesture to Mishti..and Abir being entrusted with that...!

I haven't watched 43...

But about the earrings I loved how Mishti said she never felt away from her favorite earrings as it was with Abir...

One should recognize green flags tooo🤣

Bold: Mishti was unconsciously recognizing her hidden feelings for Abir, how much close she felt with him. Loved how Mishti’s feelings progressed from friendship and trust and finally arrived at love!

Some people add one can evaporated milk instead of water to make it more dense but I don’t like that one.

we use condensed milk for mishti doi too so don't need to add any sugar. I also use condensed milk for payesh

is mishti doi that rare in the states? here in canada we get mishti doi in most bengali groceries but I like the homemade ones more

Makers gave us a heart attack with that fake twist. Right after Mishbir separation they showed that board saying Neha weds Abir and we couldn’t believe Abir would marry someone else so soon! They really tried to fool us but I don’t think anyone believed it was really happening 😆

I like Helly Shah but was ready to hate her if it was true 😆

We don’t get it here in US, at least I’ve never found it in any sweet shop and I live in NJ which is Mini India 😆

I guess you get it in Bangladeshi stores in Canada. Maybe in Queens,NY we can find it if we try in Bangladeshi restaurants but I’m not sure

Oh I see, yeah we have it in bangladeshi groceries. You're right NYC bangladeshi groceries/restaurants will have it but most bengalis I know in north america make it at home anyway

When we lived in NY we used to dine sometimes at Bangladeshi restaurants in Queens, they had delicious Ilish Mach, other typical Bengali fish curries and a large variety of sweets but we never found Mishti Doi there. But this was 10+ years ago so don’t know if it’s available there now.

Abir actually craved a mother’s love and affection. Meenu was so busy with work when Abir was a kid he didn’t get enough attention and affection from her. By adulthood he had emotionally distanced himself from her and his anger about his dad’s absence plus her later betrayals turned him more against her. But his hunger for affection was always there. One scene comes to mind, when he’s drunk on Kunal’s bachelor night, and Mishti is with him, he puts his head on her lap and sleepily asks her to stroke his hair like his mom used to when he was a child. Mishti complied and Abir looked so peaceful and blissfully happy with his eyes closed, like he’s found his haven in her loving caress ❤️

Another one is "kis desh mein hai mera dil". Even after being Balaji show, it did not have multiple marriages for leads (they married only eo) and no illegitimate kids! It was very unusual for an EK show. Again good performances and storyline.

If you want funny, my all time favorite is sarabhai vs sarabhai. Though tarak mehta ka oolta chashma is also good for most of initial 3-4 years of it.

Hope this helps 😃

thanks , will watch!
