he dosent actually. He has made enough name for himself and his past record dosent show any issues with producers so DKP will only be blamed, if dkp has a fallout with him. the show will have to shut down without shaheer as Abir.

Actually Shaheer could have taken a break in covid n returned after 6months he still would have got another role n work. But somewhere you owe responsibility to the character and the show n your co cast.

DKP also should also understand this thing. Them aggravating things because of what ritwik 's father said is not good. they should have directly spoken to ritwik kept ego aside n sorted out things for the shows sake.

My 2 cents:

Without getting personal here, know someone, a government teacher who has been posted as supervisor of a containment area. Her job is like a security guard and monitor people coming and going out of containment area. She is a given a chair( on first day not even that) and she has to find some shade to sit under. Of course her and family with two kids are also worried about her, but she cannot take leave or break from her job. She is a post graduate and reduced to a job which someone with no education can do. And you hear these examples of people who have bought a flat on EMI but not getting rents as people have left for hometowns, someone who had just put in all their savings and started a business or opened a small hotel. These are not extreme cases and but people around us. Everybody must be knowing someone like this. And they are not even people who have been infected with the disease their condition is even more scary.

It is very difficult to sympathize with a young man of 25, demanding a hike because he does not want to work in covid situation. People are working with pay cuts and under constant threat of job loss. Cannot even understand what this actor's father was thinking.

I really dont know how people sympathize with him becoz he was in break he already signed the contract for 11 months...When they called him, if he is really afraid abt this pandemic situation he could have refused them saying I am afraid so i am quitting ..but his father demanded double pay and 25 days of work..is he signing a new contract??..he was in a contract already he bound to resume work if not he is free to quit.

Why he took till July 7th to say No to work..he could have informed them earlier right..he was waiting to know the result of his demands..when they refused he has given the reason as pandemic

I agree with you.He was waiting for confirmation from PH but when it didn't materialised he resigned.Moreover he wanted to quit for better projects maybe a lead role.I don't understand how come a pay increase will save him from covid.

P. S From TA to this show it was demotion for him but he got recognition as kunal so he must have felt it is correct time to take a leap for lead roles.

yeah agree with you even I felt he is not satisfied with his role becoz kunal character was not given much importance post leap...his character was used to build leads story..he has the right to quit for better projects but he could have done it amicably stating he is afraid of pandemic situation so he is quitting the show. he shouldn't have demanded double pay even the producer is in loss this is not the right time to place your demands..it looks like chance pe dance..this is the reason RS was pissed off with him

There was ample time to rectify the matter before the shooting started.. Everyone was wondering who could be that person

Never expected it to be Ritvik.. He could have directly spoken to Rajan sir and amicably opted out nd nobody can compel to work under this pandemic condition

DKP too must have thought if Shivangi can travel from Dehradun, Quarantine nd resume shoot why not Ritvik

I think they too waited for a long time because they might have thought he will give them a date to resume

But since he was unsure of himself they had no option but to replace him as the story needs to proceed further

This happens in the entertainment industry if you don't comply with the contract they will be ruthless

It's easy to get a new person for a new character but to get a person for an established character who has a great connect with the audience is a challenge for the PH too

This must have irked the PH that they came out in public because they were also working with restricted conditions, other responsibilities like taking care of the health conditions which is a very big challenge, seeking sponsors, TRP race, working with limited staff nd rotation system so that each one gets a fair chance etc

Not in support of DKP but just a few cents on the challenges faced by any PH

Under normal circumstances they might have ignored but they must have made it public as a warning to the rest of the team so as to face the consequences.. May be an indirect hint

We seen each one of the cast coming out in open with their posts Chaitraliji, Sanjeev ji that is mamu nd were very appreciative of the efforts taken by DKP even Shah said in SBS interview that the PH is not only sticking to the SoPs but also doing much more than that

Everybody was feeling safe and happy with the arrangements

Ritvik could have also consulted Shah as they were close on how to go about this in a better way if at all he doesn't want to continue because more than Rithvik's Dad Shah cld have guided him better as a senior in the industry

Even In the ET interview Ritvik himself stated that he had asked to handle the issue by his dad and told that increase in the payment might be a detrimental factor to call him back which can be a wrong move

We have also come across Ritvik as a very mature person who handles even the awkward questions with grace in all his insta live sessions and his captions also display his sense of humor, apt timing and answers all the questions with a beautiful flow, clarity of thoughts.. A tough phase in his life with a wrong timing.. Everyone goes through one such phase at some point of time in life

Anyway we as viewers lost to see Ritvik as Nanko back with whom we shared many emotions

Hats off to Ritvik who did a phenomenal acting portraying various shades of Kunal with ease.. Take a bow Ritvik👏👏.. Will miss you as Kunal and the Abinal bonding too

Y does Rajan shahi have problems with actors only once they quit. It was same with Hina & Karan.Leaking out personal info was really wrong.

About Ritvik I think matter could have been dealt with better maturity. Being honest and saying that he is wants to maintain safety from the first go would have been better.

Keeping all the controversy aside for the moment

I will really miss ritvik as kunal, he did a wonderful job in bringing out so many layers of kunal with his splendid acting , kunal wasn't easy and would have been discarded as a flat character if not played well , but ritvik made it so interesting and amazing I will always miss the sarcastic touch that ritvik gives to kunal

Abinal and kuku will not the same without him ...you will be missed RA

I can see only one wrong thing from Ritvik side is to involve his father than dealing himself. Even if he felt he underpaid considering risks then he could have put forward his requirements to PH.Its upto PH to agree or disagree taken decision accordingly. Whatver it is he would have dealt it.

Usually it happens, if employee is not happy with with pay and feels paid under market value then can demand to employer or move on with better offers. Thats normal in all industry at least IT world. Usually all these dealt with confidentially, not sure why these are coming out in public. This is wrong from PH side.

Whatever it is, will miss Ritvik, hopefully see him soon in lead role.
