First of all, as always Sam, your grip on words, spoken and unspoken is amazing👏. You get the song, the meaning of the scenes and weave them beautifully. This medium almost always exploits women's insecurities in a man's world. Pits them against each other. However, thankfully, that is not what Meenu and Parul have been so far 👍🏼. This show that was meant to explore non normative relations, in my view, is the story of two women wronged by a man and making it in a man's world. Everyone else comes later.

There were raah main kaante😔... a pregnant uneducated lady, an old man with a collapsing business, a single mother with a small child and a young man who was still finding his feet. These 4 people, Parul, nanu, meenu and Koslu - came together in a time of crisis, led by Meenu (because she took ownership of the mess her husband left behind).

In your VM you progressively show, how hard these women tried and in the end Meenu lost her son to this battle. She does not want anyone in the family to have to walk on this path alone, like she had to. However, this is lost on that one person who matters most - her son😒. She keeps waiting for that subah when her son will understand what it is that she wants... Her connection to kunal is precious. Yes, she is harsh... yes her ways are wrong... but like you show in your VM, she is usually left with no other option😕. The story tries to villainise her often, however, then they show her human side too. And I love that you captured that meenu who works from the kitchen table while Parul gets her a glass of juice. Don’t we all want this from our partners - as equals?

How amazingly have these two co-parented the boys. That aarzu to see them grow up as blood brothers. dhoop kategi saaye tale ❤️- what an amazing executive decision these two women took 25 years ago? Together we can bring these boys up who can then erase the daag on this family. That was their only manzil😊

I thoroughly enjoyed it. Especially since this relationship is so deep rooted in the story and often misunderstood

PS: When time allows, a similar one for Jasmeet, Varsha and kuhu will be nice too. 🤗

Sam!! I am in love with this VM!!! And I finally got the exact storyline you were trying to convey after my 3rd watch and my heart is so full with the love for these 2 women for sticking together through the most difficult times in their lives and being each other's support systems.

Let me know if I am missing something in my understanding of your VM:

Even with all the problems that came in their lives as Mehul left, the revelation of the sautan, the business falling apart and Abir constantly craving for his dad, Meenu made herself the last priority and tried to move forward for the sake of her family. With Nanu, Kaushal and now, Parul by her side, she tries to convince little Abir, who she had hit for asking about his dad, that she was sorry but he wouldn't listen because his dad's fake love for him was what was guiding his feelings. Love that you put that scene with the line, 'Shaam (Mehul) chhupa le Suraj (Abir)'. And then darkness set as Kunal came in their lives.

Rut ye tal jayegi

Himmat rang layegi

Subha phir aayegi

Yeh Hosla Kaise Jhuke

Yeh Aarzoo Kaise Ruke - 2

Absolutely in love with the scenes you chose here to show how the past seemed to have left them as the 2 brothers grew up and the mothers/partners admiring the 2 as their himmat rang laayi. Their only arzoo for the sons was that they be each other's rock as their mothers had all these years.

This part had me in tears! How the two brothers rejected their mothers and how much it hurt them.

This paragraph!!! How the mothers' only hope was that the son's (manzil) accept them and they finally receive the love that they had showered upon the 2 all these years.

Uff!! I am in love with your creation!!! It's one of the most beautiful VMs ever and I am so glad that you finally decided to make it because nobody gets these 2 characters like you (and DQ, ofc) do. You both are the reason I now see their human side rather seeing them as mere villian and a servant. Thank you for portraying this co-parenting journey so beautifully!!!❤️

I love the way you saw the VM in a much deeper sense and what you said is so true!! Their characters are so misunderstood, especially Meenu's!!

There was so much that I wanted to write to appreciate my sasuma But yahan aake toh surprised ho gayi ☺️ Nandu you have covered it all yaara 👏👏👏 kuch nahi choda , the thread looks so amazing .. fabulous and mind blowing , ekdum khidki tod apni sasuma ki tarah 🥳🥳🥳 Your effort , hard work ans dedication, I can see that 👏 its gonna be an amazing thread with Fantro moments and ocean deep analysis 😛😃

Without meenu , the story would have been so pheeka !! Strong, fierce , independent, opinionated, having an endless zeal to love and protect her family, thinking and applying unique ways of achieving what she desires , she is unapologetically brilliant, smart and enthusiastic !!

What I really appreciate her for is the way she didn't fall in the weak times , instead took responsibility and control of the family , never gave up and made a place for herself!

She has her own set of flaws n emotions too , and sometimes I believe that isn't her who drives someone's emotions but because it's her own emotions that drive her !!

Only a brilliant actor can makes us go through all the emotions and still the audience can't help but just love and admire her !! Didn't knew about Rupal ma'am at all , wow she owns a play theatre and received recognition by PM Modi ji ...wonderful !! Rupal Ma'am is extremely sweet and calm ...haha she was fantroing meenu 😛

Okay , so since me being abir ki uru 😆 Apne sasuma ke liye shayari toh banti hai 😳 meenu loves abir's poetries I hope meri bhi pasand aa jaaye 😛
