Kuhu&Kunal: Why the YRHPK writers have failed

Being one of the people who were excited about Kuhu and KuKu because I thought they were different, I am quite disappointed with the trajectory of Kuhu's character development and the progress of KuKu's relationship. 🥱I suppose I should have expected this considering how Rajan Shahi and his team of writers is unable to do justice to any characters apart from the leads on the parent show YRKKH but alas! hope springs eternal.

I never expected the Kuhu I saw in the initial stages of the show to completely lack self-respect when it comes to Kunal. I had thought she would be the one to put him in his place. Even after hearing the truth from Kunal about their marriage, she continues to act like a lovesick puppy around him. I don't expect her to stop 'loving' him but she can at least do a better job of hiding it.

Bekhudi is such a lovely song but it loses its meaning when Kuhu goes into dreamland when Kunal does something halfway decent like holding her hand in today's episode. I want Kuhu to realise that any time Kunal has been nice to her has only been for himself or his family. When Kunal has seen no 'reason' to be nice to her, he has been a monster. 🤢

Kunal has no respect for Kuhu whatsoever because he sees her as 'desperate' (in his own words). He doesn't fear losing her or her affection which is why he continues to mistreat her and concoct plans with his lawyer to break up their marriage. He is the nastiest towards her because he is not held accountable for his behaviour. Frankly, he is abusive.

I would like to see Kuhu reject Kunal for real and walk out of this marriage. Since it's a show, we know they have to be together so Kunal should have to bend backwards to regain her affections. I also don't want Kuhu to sacrifice her relationship with Mishti at the altar of Kunal's ego. I hate that the writers made her push Mishti on Janmashtami. Mishti could have died; it was unforgivable. Don't know why the CVs did this to Kuhu's character.

I want Kuhu to understand that Kunal and Meenakshi's demand of separating MishBir is unreasonable and redeem herself by uniting them. Kunal is a man-child who has a long way to go before he deserves anything good and Kuhu should make him work for it.

I think I would like to disagree with this! When it comes to Kuhu and Kunal both, they are very immature and egoistic for their own good and bad. These two unfortunately always need someone else to blame their own actions on. For Kuhu, it has always been Mishti. Kuhu has always blamed Mishti for every misery in her life ever since she was a child. Plus Varsha was more pampering towards her and Jasmeet helped more in turning Kuhu against Mishti than for. And hence, it has always been the case for her. So its going to take a while for her to even accept the fact that she has been till now blaming the wrong person. When it comes to Kunal, well firstly she doesn't want to cause her parents and M family another heart break. And secondly she is putting Kunal in his place whenever necessary. Yes, she still loves him and hence when she feels he has done something nice or is probably changing, her hopes of making this marriage work, despite its shortcomings increases. Plus, she has also seen Kunal react a certain way when he is around Mishti. And a certain when she is not. So for her, Mishti is that person she will blame. And also, Kuhu also felt that Mishti was wrong in rejecting Kunal. So for her, kunal was the victim then since it happened with him the second time. So her character is such that its her immaturity. She will never listen to BM and BP for Mishti because she thinks they are biased towards her. And Jasmeet and Varsha are of no help when it comes to Mishti. And then she has Meenakshi and Kunal who are constantly spewing stuff against Mishti. So she thinks she is doing absolutely right by keeping Mishti away. All her life she wanted to be away from her and now if Mishti marries Abir, she will be with her again. And thats one thing Kuhu doesn't want. She doesn't want to think about herself when it comes to Mishti.

And Kunal is totally another league. Other than Abir, no one really tells this guy that he is wrong in hating Mishti so much. No till date has had the guts to tell him that whatever Mishti did on the day of god dhana was right. Only Abir does and he thinks he is just doing that under the influence of Mishti. So even for him, it will be the longest. Everyone just tries to pacify his bruised ego. Even Kuhu for that matter. So he thinks he is right. And he will keep doing that until there is a stronger voice, other than Abir which will say he is wrong and Mishti is right. I also thought that for Kunal, when he was rejected by Shweta, all everyone did was distract him with more work, rather than treating his wound. So thanks to that open wound and his mothers manipulation, he thinks every girl that would reject him is Shweta. That is one another mentality he needs to change.

So yes! Both Kunal and Kuhu need to change! Grow up and be better! But I believe it is only possible when they are gonna learn it the hard way. Coz the voices that are still speaking for Mishti and Abir are assumed biased by these two. So yes, I hope whenever they realize the hard way, they are made to work for the apology! Not only towards Abir Mishti but also Kunal needs to work on winning Kuhu back!

what i find disappointing in kuhu is that she dislikes mishti so for her her happiness dosent matter. but she dosent dislike abir infact has a good bond with him but inspite of knowing where his happiness lies she is still plotting against his happiness. It looks like she is backstabbing him and comes across as cheating. It shows kuhu can never really care and love someone other than her own greed

i actually cringe when i watch kuhu abir scenes . that guy has been nothing but good to her yet she does that to him and the problem is abir thinks so highly of kuhu . i just wish her truth is out soon.

I agree with most of Shonali's thoughts here. Both Kuhu and Kunal need to grow up, own up their mistakes (I am ok if they dont announce it to the world but at least show clear regret), and get secure in their own relationship.

I think makers are laying the right track for it - once Kunal falls in love he may be able to understand Abir & Kuhu better and also understand where he went wrong. Kuhu realises partially (she did say that those who wish to hurt others are never happy - thinking about mishti and her own marriage, but CVs kept that very brief) but needs to realise it more. She is definitely growing up, acting maturely in her current marriage situation and seems to have accepted the idea of Mishbir wedding (e.g she called Abir Mishti's BF in her convo with Mishti, today she told Jasmeet that 'get ready' for daily drama post mishbir wedding) - she isnt happy about it, but isnt sabotaging it either)

So I am guessing their char growth will continue - albeit at a slow pace - since they need Kuhu and Kunal to continue to be grey for the sake of drama.

Bold-Coz of this i just can't watch her scenes with Abir. The bro code irritates me to the core now. Atleast Kunal is been consistent from the day one. For him Mishti is the reason for everything and he hates Mishti. See it's so easy to understand Kunal's mindset.😆 But Kuhu changes her behaviour the way she changes her dresses. One day she will sympathize with Mishti, next day she will be plotting against her.

I have been telling this from a long time now that with one character makers have gone completely wrong is Kuhu. I really like Kaveri and i think she has tremendous potential to shine. But i guess makers don't want it. Now Kuhu and Kunal 's characters have become so intolerable that i am afraid i will be able to sympathize with them after their redemption tracks.

Apologies, I'm a shadow viewer of this show. As someone who watched YRKKH in its earlier years, I've always liked Varsha. Not to say she didn't make mistakes and I've had my share of complaints but she has her priorities straight. Call her self-centered, selfish etc. but she chose to support her daughter. I'd be pissed if she didn't and fell at Mishti's feet like everyone else. (Although I do believe the Mishti-Abir resolution at home was well done) With ITV, I guess, it's sometimes hard to have any regard for those who don't blindly follow the 'leads'.

I just don't particularly like 'Mishti' and all those on TV like her who have the ultimate saviour complex. ITV continuously rams people like her down our throats - it winds me up.

I do, however, agree that Kunal and Kuhu need to grow up and get on with their own lives with or without Mishti-Abir (fat chance since it's an ITV show). Their characters need to develop because I'd love to see more of them and the friggin crazy family.

Side note: The interiors of the Maheshwari house are magnificent! I want!

Exactly this is whole fact on which yrhpk is based

Kuku creating drama for mishbir by doing villany and selfish stuffs and mishbir trying to help them

If this will not happen then everything would get sorted

And I not like mishti in all four due to same reason

I don't like selfless people as they r selfless but r selfish even as they want to become mahan or expect others to accept them and most importantly ghisa pita ITV leads

I dot know as viewer claim they r different bit till now I have not seen it and now their testing time begin as there is no banana if they plan to sacrifice again but I knows viewer will give

I like kuhu although I love mishbir and want to see them in particular way different from ITV but sad to state that the r typical ITV lead just do bhasan baji but when time comes go fuss

There's hardly any real development in ITV shows so I've resorted to picking and choosing things I like or would have potential. Otherwise it's all drab and depressing.

i know other shows are not allow in this forum but i still posting the video for an example, this is Ekta's new webseries where Heroin is Krystal Desuza ( Ex-TV actor smiley36) whos character is a Gold Digger, Selfish, Cheater, who trap rich guys for their money and the Hero who's a Rich Casanova, doing two timing with two best friends, Arrogant etc. but still they're considered as Leads and ppl loving the trailer so much after knowing leads character graph and appreciating the Actors instead giving Gaalis & Hate for them smiley36

This is 2019 where Webseries making such real cruel world's content shows and its real Human natures and other side in same century ITV making unrealistic content drama & characters.. No wonder many big TV actors (Krystal, Sanaya, Barun, Sakshi Tewari) stop doing tv shows for their bad content and characters where they can't experiment with their roles and move to webseries most of them👎👎👎
