I agree they should tone down the negativity. Initially, it was just Meenakshi; now Kunal and Kuhu have joined the plotting and manipulation... and looks like the entire family is going to misunderstand Mishti.

I really like the Abir-Mishti story; the writers did a great job in weaving their characters and their story. However, I cannot say the same about the show because the drama revolves around typical villains and their mission to target the fl and separate the leads...these are all done-to-death ITV tropes. And as much as Abir and Mishti are going to end up together, it would just make that journey unenjoyable if it has to happen through negativity and misunderstandings. And even when they get together, they will end up staying with these 3 villains who are going to continue with this negativity.

Exactly, she has no reason to be so critical or hate mishti so much, especially given that mishti is the one who saved ketki both the times, be it running away or from the bad marriage alliance.

I can understand they really need to tone down negatively little.. Especially the show has not cross even 100 episode yet....

Thank you.

Bold - That’s my point too, it’s way too early to launch so many negative characters at this early a stage.

Yes there will be misunderstanding... and Abir it seems will doubt Mishti and be angry with her... and Mishti will jump to the wrong conclusion and misunderstand Abir and go ahead for the rishta. Both will cry and suffer but Abir after this will never doubt Mishti again. Everyone being against them means that when the truth will be out Abir will not forgive Meenu and Kunal so easily coz they are playing a very dirty game with Mishti. Turning her own family and their family against her for no fault of hers. They will even take away her one sole friend Abir. I am convinced that the truth will come out and Abir will go ahead and stop the wedding or rishta or whatever and confess his love to Mishti. I just hope the sadness doesn't last long and the truth comes out soon.

If it happens during the engagement then I have hopes that maybe just maybe Abir and Mishti will get married before Kuhu and Kunal.

Hoping this too. Let’s hope they don’t drag it too much.

I don’t want to get into the episode and spoil it for anyone who is yet to watch the episode, but wish the creators would tone down the negativity in the show a little bit. Usually whenever a new show starts, I watch at least the first 100 episodes for sure because this phase is mostly filled with happiness. Also this is the important phase to any show when a viewer gets an understanding of the characters, basic plot line of the show, and the time to decide to stick to the show. If I cross this period without getting disappointed, I continue the show. Unfortunately, this show has just reached 86 episodes and so far the positive versus negative is in 25:75 ratio. Other than the first couple of weeks, there hasn’t been any significant time given to the leads story or character development. So far they have just given us a basic sketch of the characters. No idea why they had to jump into a negative track so soon without using the leads potential. This is a daily soap and these shows run for at least a year, I have no idea why they never use the time to establish a strong story, instead of just cooking up a half-baked story.

I’m afraid the overdose of negative characters is just going to push the viewers away, because this show hasn’t reached a stage where the bad guys keep plotting and the leads defeat the evil makers’ plots and the cycle goes on. Also at this point the people against the FL far outweigh than the people who support her. If everyone had a genuine reason to hate her, it would be justified. As of now, the reason is so superficial, I don’t know if I should bang my head or just feel bad for the lack of creative input.

Unfortunately in spite of all the time in the world, most of the Indian shows fail to create the kind of story or characters that people can relate to. Sorry to compare, but western shows run for a total of maximum 20-22 episodes (1 episode a week/just for 5 months max) and for half the year you don’t even see the show, yet they are successful in creating the kind of characters that people can relate to, love, even hate to love kind of characters, and wait to see the show again eagerly.

Sorry for starting the week with a sour post, but just wanted to let it out and feel free. Now that I’m done, wishing everyone a happy, cheerful and a successful week ahead.

Good day...

Sahi kaha. The post was not at all sour.

I completely agree with you. After today's episode, I'm feeling very upset as well. Oh man! Just last week, Mishti realized her love and now, all this already? Atleast, few more episodes for both of them to tease each other. It would have been good if first Kunal tried to separate Misbhir (after he got to know that they love each other), then after failed attempts, tell his mom.. then after failed attempts, involve kuhu.. then trio to plot together.. but here... everything has come to trio already. if they had taken it one by one, it would have been less negative. Suddenly, the way things are getting setup against Mishti, it is even depressing. Today's episode is OK. But, tomorrow, it is going to hit the wrong nerve for Rajvansh family (Abhir's dad) and it is really gonna hurt Abhir. Meenakshi can't be so evil than this. She doesn't bother how her sons would feel about the humiliation, but just want Mishti out of their family! Wow!

One hope is PARUL! I am sure she is going to be the main shipper for Misbhir and is going to play a very very big role in destroying this trio! That's what I feel. Nanu seems to be a dummy at the moment. But, Parul will be the perfect match for Meenakshi as she knows Meenakshi in and out. Let's see.

Bold1 - This would have made more sense and also given the audience more time to settle into the plot. Kunal and meenu’s plans failing and audience hoping kuhu doesn’t get involved and then ultimately this happening. Now the speed with which they have the negatives stacked up against mishti is kind of hard to relate to, especially with no solid reason for so much hate than just their big fat ego.

Bold2 - when the show started, I expected BigBen’s character to be grey, but with some positive traits too like her absolute love for the family and a really strong woman who is only weak when it comes to yearning for her son’s love. Also was really looking forward to BigBen-Abir scenes, they had some beautiful mom-son scenes the first few episodes that gave us a really good emotional connect between these 2 characters. They have wasted all that potential. Now after all this planning and plotting, how are they going to justify her character and how are the viewers going to connect with her as a mother.

This is my point too, they’re not even giving the viewers a chance to enjoy the leads’ love angle. There is so much negativity this early in, that every good moment is foreshadowed. At least the first day of the week, tone it down a bit. When the first day of the week is an episode like this, nobody has the patience sit through this torture for a whole week.

I posted something on the AT. Will paraphrase it here 😊 IMO, I think we need to be a little more patient and see which way the track is playing out. I know the negativity is annoying but we should freak out the day Abir and Mishti are ruined to make way for some cliched sacrifice/misunderstanding track. It hasn't happened so far but this plotting could lead to an interesting track for all we know. Abir is unsure about Mishti's feelings for her. He is always uncertain about whether she has feelings for him as intensely as he does. Similarly, Mishti is very insecure about herself. She is always unsure about whether anyone can love her and accept her for what she is given all that has happened in her life so far. It will take a long while for her to be sure of her feelings and confident about Abir's feelings for her. If they play at this and bring in the angst, I think the track has a lot of potential. The makers should just make sure they don't butcher their basic characters and give them enough screen-time to balance the negativity. If they manage that, this can lead to angst and an intense confession at the end of the track. I hope the writers do this right and don't mess it up. I still have hope though and would freak out the day they ruin either Abir/Mishti :)

I agree with your post and I’m all up for angst. My only issue is the bold part. When I said they should tone down, this is exactly what I meant. As of now we are getting an overdose of hatred towards mishti. Mishti-Abir scenes are few, even in that mostly it’s about kuku. They should balance this. Just asking for a small break from kunal’s marriage saga and how much kuku are made-for-each-other rant.

Ps: At least they can let us enjoy the song sequence of mishti-abir without any kabab main haddi. No solace there too.

Amazing post veg as always...till now the episodes have been well balanced... infact the makers are very smart..they keep kuku scenes in between mishbir..so that we can't skip...but we already knew turbulent times were ahead... clearly negativity travels faster than the positivity ...

no one is talking about the fact that Abir actually said in favour of mishti in front of benba...badi maa bade Papa are seem to be very fond of Abir ...nanu is with him and with Parul taking baby steps now...and mish if you remember the first epi she clearly told to ketki that if her family tries to get a rishta with a man she hardly knows..she will not agree...mishti takes her own time...but does the right thing at the end...so hamare captain aur uski co pilot pe Bharosa rakho and enjoy the ride...it may get difficult from here ..but mishbir will come out strongly for sure.
