Its done very cleverly. Everyone acknowledges that Abir went into the fire. However, what the brothers did was a gentleman's act, in everyone's opinion. Abir is a great actor. He is good at hiding his emotions from everyone and people are struggling to see through that.

Why mishti cares so much for kunal coming in to save her makes sense. He is her potential groom. However, why does she have no recollection of Abir... no clue. Something tells me she thinks he came for the painting.

The way everyone is reacting feels like Abir and Kunal went in but it was Kunal who was successful so he deserves to be applauded. The one who couldn’t succeed can be ignored but everyone forgot that it’s Abir who went in first and Kunal followed “for”his brother . More than Mishti I felt Kunal was worried for Abir going alone .

Another interesting thing only Meenakshi acknowledged Abir’s effort to save Mishti rest did not even remember Abir had gone for Mishti as well .

I understand why Mishti cares for Kunal saving her but her completely forgetting Abir’s presence , his efforts to save her doesn’t make sense . Anyone would thank or will be concerned for the person who risked his life to save you be it a stranger or a friend .

you know its actually ok she is not focused on Abir. She cant ruin his life by overbearing self she is. I'd have much preferred she remembers being fainted and admitting having foggy memory. She didn't ask for the well being of that painting either. I think there is a reason for it or she has taken Abir for granted. She expects him to be there. She only thought of calling Abir and Badi Maa. That is a big sign in itself. Please ignore my rambling

actually you are right kunal just gone inside because of his brother otherwise he was in no mood to go inside

Kunal called the fire brigade the moment he realized Mishti was struck inside . He had no plans to go in .If Abir hadn’t gone in then Kunal would not do that either . He went for his brother .

I feel Mishti was not able to see if it’s Abir or Kunal something to do with her eye sight . I don’t remember if she recognized Abir . I feel it’s really out of her character if she behaves this way with Abir

When Kunal said ‘we’ i was like That was very sly. Instead he should have said the truth which was he only went because his brother went in first. Im hating this side of Kunal.
