I just googled some of my favourite itv actors age and this is the result: harshad chopda (36), nakul mehta (36), barun sobti (34), rajeev khandelval (44), karan patel (36), shabbir ahluwalia (40), gautam rode (42), sharad malhotra (36), karan wahi (34), arjun biljani (36)

now your argument looks too stupid to me

Seriously what's with people age shaming nowadays

first of all 35 year olds arent considered as old, at least not where i live

many hollywood (i dont even want to mention bollywood) and American series actors who are at their 40s playing characters much younger to their age and romancing (i MEAN Romancing not fall and catch) young actress

and i dont think shaheer looks his age, i thought he would be between 28 - 30 actually

ironically rhea's previous costar is at the same age as Shaheer and he did look older than her but no one had any problem with it, even i liked them as a couple

Lastly, dear TM more than someone who is interested in the show you sound like a mere hater, i saw yow comment in IF article as well

i think shaheer looks young for his age. when i saw him in Star MB i thought he was playing nakul😆

even in his earlier show kuch rang ke he dint look old. i think its the camera tricks or make up maybe which is making him look so.

watch him in MB he looks quite young there with long hair too

i have been shaheer fans since i saw him in nikki .. and then navya Mahabharata he looks so handsome.. however here i do feel ki his hair is making him look a little older but then again he is older than Kunal by i i nt know how many years .. and kunal itself is atleast 25 + so if they are not playing college boys role then what is the problem... the chemistry between them is fabulous and he is a awesome actor ... thought i still feel he looks the best in short hairs .. like in kuch rang

This will only end up impacting ratings if the show continues to aim itself to the under 21s. If it's target audience is older then it'll be fine.

I really dont' understand this logic of age gap. Everyone of us loved KRPKAB for Devakshi chemistry, the fact remains that Shaheer was 32 and Erica was hardly 21 or 22 if am right. I dont' think it really mattered.

Am from the south, where Superstar Rajni still manages to draw crowds by romancing girls who are younger than even his own daughters.

Does age really matter when it comes to romancing on screen ? Its just the ability to emote in front of the cameras with the given actor / actress that counts.

BTW, who in the right mindset in this millennium ever has any "age restriction" to romance; whether Reel or Real. IMO, real world couples are healthy & happy because of their ability to keep their "romantic side" alive after their retirement; after children leave (empty nest).

I'm under 21 , and I know a lot of others who are watching the show , so I guess I can confidently say it won't really be a problem .
The age gap doesn't reflect to me , and it will be a hindrance only when you make it to be .
I'll just give an example of pretty woman for this . The actors had quite an age gap but it didn't matter because of the actors. Here too it doesn't matter , everyone has their opinion and for some it matters and some it doesn't .

Being a Shaheer fan since Navya I never found him look aged or old or whatever it is. When Shaheer takes up a charecter he slips into the role effortlessly. I don't think his age will cause hindrance in any way. He is perfect as Abeer. And his chemistry with Riya is too good. When he comes on screen,he lights it up with his charisma and screen presence. So for me the show is refreshing and appealing ...and I credit Shaheer ...the most... I wouldn't have even watched the show if Shaheer is not there. My choice.
