He's a pro at playing psycho😆 but in this one I really don't fault him. Not as much . I would if he continued to chase his ex but he tried to seek revenge on her by ruining her marriage ..in that situation he didn't have to use her sister as a leverage but he did but it's not like he didn't deserve redemption ...he always treated her well , also fell in love with her later & wanted to correct everything, his idiot ex also let it go ..yes she was lied to , she cud leave him or give him a chance after a few years , he didn't have to be sent to the asylum for this "sin" . Here , the way it started , and why he did all this is the reason I sympathize with him. He was cheated on , one fine day he gets to know his gf is married , she didn't care to inform him or give him a chance to approach her for marriage ..if love was banned in their family why go around with a boy in college ? And then the worst was , she got away after phailoing all the raita in his life , her sisters life n got a happy ending 🤣 if he is punished she should also be punished but the writer was clearly biased to humna. All Paki shows have bizarre endings..

Watch his other show , khani , it's a much better show , again a sad ending but there he actually didn't deserve redemption & he didn't get any but still his redemption arc is one of the best amongst all the "alpha males, the raees baap ki bigdi entitled aulad" . Its his one of the best.

All in all they're really really pathetic at showing patriarchy .and ishq in general. They want to show empowered fls but within the constraints of patriarchy. It's just not possible.

I only one character in rishta that is abhimanyu. As he was just a human who makes mistakes and rectifies it. Uske bacche kaccho se mujhe fark nahi padtha. I liked rubhir bonding in gen 3. I thought we may get similar scenes in gen 4 as i always like stories which has childhood friends but dkp is busy in abhimaan ddp. Only khoon siblings are important so i no longer has any interest on this show 😂🤷‍♀️
