What makes Abhir believe that poddars will agree for his and Charus wedding? Dekho, in Abhir's defence, the P family is horrendous & he genuinely felt that since Abhira ne Vidya ki bail kara di, things may have gotten better. Also he has seen extremely complicated relationships in his young life, so he assumes that jaise Ruhi & Abhira maintain relationships in that house, he too will do so.

Also I feel all he wanted was Charu to accept, so that aur kuch nahi toh woh usse bhagaa ke shaadi karke Goenkas house lekar aayegi, where he would not need to deal with the craziness of the Poddars or Bansals, completely forgetting that this is Rishta & aise rishte tode nahi jaa sakte and ge cannot have a rishta with only Charu
