Well I'm not against divorce as it's personal choice to divorce your partner but when someone divorce his/her partner to humiliate or punish him/her or because of ego even after promises of lifelong partnership, understanding and soulmate wala love, that's when things starts getting uglier. Main point is when ppl make so many promises of togetherness and saat so janam ka saath and alienate their life partner because of broken unfair expectations, does that justify their reason to divorce someone they love beyond infinity?

So what if Armaan signed divorce papers in anger as Abhira sent his maa to jail, Abhira also signed divorce papers and wanted to divorce him first? But is it as simple as it appears?

In which case divorcing your spouse isn't cruel after thousand promises and love that can never be diminished?

A

Expected transparency in their relationship after herself concealing her pregnancy truth from her husband-Unfair expectation

Being extremely mad, hurt or have major trust issues as her husband deprived her of the basic right to say final goodbye to her dead child whom she carried 7 months in her womb, BSP whom she loved more than anybody. She deserved to be a part of final rituals of her dead child - Fair expectation

She wouldn't have considered her lifelong right on Ro-Ru's child Daksh, as her own child, if she was told about Daksh's parentage truth instead she would've raised him as maasi/chachi without considering her right on him being his mother, till Ruhi wakes up from coma - Fair expectation

She didn't deserve to be fed with lies by her husband on daily basis for a month that u, me and BSP will forever be together as a happy family, when the child was Rohit and Ruhi's child He didn't even think that truth will be out someday and Abhira will feel betrayed - Fair Expectation

She didn't deserve to be indirectly involved in separating a mother from her child for a month without even knowing the child's mother is mourning for him because of her husband hiding truth from her- Fair Expectation

She didn't deserve to be given resignation letter by her husband and family which was signed by her husband to conceal Daksh's parentage truth specifically when he promised her dying mother to support her career - Fair Expectation

She didn't deserve to be publicly humiliated for infertility by Armaan's Dadisa - Fair Expectation

Her getting mad, disappointed and angry when he should've supported her after promising again "bas aik mauka dey do ab main sab theek kar doon ga etc. etc." "main zindagi bhar tumhara intizar karun ga" yet taking side of his Dadisa specifically when Dadisa was 100% wrong in involving Abhira's personal issue to spite MG - Fair Expectation

Her, expecting him to understand that she will prioritize her brother over his mother - Fair Expectation

Her, expecting him to understand that his mother's "galti sey kiya hua accident" and running away because of her fear is not a trivial matter as her brother lost his ability to walk, his career was ruined & his motivation to live shattered - Fair Expectation

Her getting mad at him because she expected him to fight the case truthfully at court but his family tempered evidences - Fair Expectation

Her expecting from him, that he won't end their relationship just because she is seeking justice for her brother against his mother - Fair Expectation?

Her expecting him to understand that she didn't intend to punish his mother with ten years of imprisonment and still cares for his mother's state or would've done same if Vidya was the victim and Abhir was the cause of her accident - Unfair Expectation

B

Him expecting that she would forgive him easily or won't leave him or his home after getting to know BSP's truth. She would understand he deprived her of her right to see, touch and feel her dead child and participate in his last rites as he did it all to save her from heartbreak or shock - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting from her to trust that he didn't push MG deliberately - Fair Expectation

Him expecting from her to say that she didn't send divorce papers or she doesn't want separation but only some time to heal - Fair Expectation

Him getting mad at her for signing divorce papers because of amalgamation of BSP & Daksh's truth, her public humiliation and her parnanu's humiliation through his Dadisa's slipper, her broken trust as her husband sided with Dadisa who hit his wife's weak spot or vulnerability - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting from her to keep quiet after public humiliation by his Dadisa, over infertility kyunke Dadisa bari hain - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting from her to forgive him within 8 days as per his Dadisa's demand instead of taking her own time to process things and think straight - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting her to convice her brother and her family not to file a case against his maa when her brother was severely injured and in critical condition, would forever be disabled as per doctors - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting fom her not to stand with her brother, when her brother decides to punish his mother, a culprit who rendered her brother handicapped for life - Unfair Expectation

Him expecting fom her to understand their relationship can only survive if she and her family decides not to punish his maa or send her to jail or to stop thinking about giving justice to her brother to save her relationship and marriage - Unfair Expectation

Him equating the survival of their relationship on his wife and her brother forgiving his criminal mother, even without his mother sincerely apologizing to victim, forgetting victim himself wants justice and no emotional blackmailing that his sister's marriage will be ruined if he didn't fulfill her in-laws demand to take case against them back, has broken his resolute till now - Unfair Expectation

- What kind of people expect their wife or DIL to go against her own family members specifically when her brother is victim, to take the case back to save her marriage?

- How criminal who gaslight their victims different from Poddars who gaslighted their DIL and went to extend of proving the victim mentally unstable, which led him to attempt suicide. If victim died because of already weakened mental state, disability and false accusations, by commiting suicide. Would that be called a suicide or murder?

- Is divorcing your wife because she didn't save your criminal mother against her victim brother equivalent to divorcing your husband when he gave u emotional baggage, pain and broken expectations?

I'm not defending any character as they flip in nanoseconds and are not worth it. I'm just trying to process how this divorce by husband isn't cruelty towards his wife just like him performing last rites of dead child alone. Is equating your marriage survival with mother's well being, bhakti and ashivaad for u when she curses, abuses and have criminal tendencies justified and not a big deal? Did wife betrayed him and tempered proof to punish his mother or mother got actual punishment for crime she committed-hit and run?
