I stopped watching this show properly when Shehzaada left. I think Garvita is doing an excellent job at Roohi and I like Sam too, I just feel that there is no way the writers can execute this story with all the gaps and mistakes of season 3. But when I saw a clip of Abhir and Roohi fighting in yesterday's episode, I actually felt hooked. Yes, Sam is supposed to be the legacy character but it really feels like it is Abhir and Roohi. Seeing them together really felt like Akshara and Aarohi at each other's throats again and for valid(ish) reasons. They carry decades of pain and unresolved trauma that, if anyone can understand, it's each other.
Yes, Abhira has her own trauma but its different. She wasn't there to see the ruin that was season three. She doesn't understand her mother's trauma with the Goenka's while Abhir does. Abhir and Roohi were siblings in the truest sense, if only for a short while. Roohi helped Abhir when he lost Abhinav and she supported him through the custody battle. They have cherished memories together.
The tashan that the writers wanted from Abhira vs Ruhi was never really there because it was over a guy who frankly was not even worth it. But they have this really great opportunity bringing Abhir and Roohi together.
