KV cannot accept her mistake. She is not able to digest that her choice was wrong. In every way today abhira is better than ruhi, but to realise that kv has to accept that she was wrong in her judgement which we all know is impossible for her to do.

She cannot handle the fact that the paraya who was given life and family because of her is leading a happy life when her own chirag, her waaris is unhappy in the life and the partner SHE had chosen for him. She feels uniting rohit and ruhi ll dilute the errors in her decisions because at the end of day those two are together so the past won't matter.
