Ruhi is now a manipulative, selfish and self-obsessed character ….if she had genuinely cared about Charu or the Poddars, she would not have broken the Charu truth the way she did ..she would have spoken to Armaan or Kajal or Charu herself in private ..she would not have used to it as a weapon to subvert Abhira’s plans to confess her feelings to Armaan ..if she trusted Armaan’s love, she would have let Abhira confess ..she is insecure and threatened ..so she’s resorting to underhand tactics to achieve her ends ..such a character can be made a lead ..but I don’t think TRP driven ITV is ready for it !
I have a lot of issues with Abhira ..she is immature, tactless and unnecessarily nosy ..she is most unlike girls her age who always prioritise their lives ..that’s what she should be doing too ..but she’s got this bee in her bonnet about getting involved in affairs that do not concern her in the least ..but no point talking about these qualities that are encoded in the DNA of the all ITV FLs..however, Abhira is also a warm, kind, compassionate and an exceptionally brave girl ..you cannot take that away from her ..she has no understanding of family dynamics given that she has only known life with her mother ..she is young and will hopefully learn from the mistakes she’s making ..there is a way to make your point, especially when it comes to older members of the family….you can still get your way without offending them or pointing a finger at them and calling them names ..her great grandmother Akshara evolved beautifully from a young girl who struggles to find her place in a joint family to a much loved member of the family who learnt the art of upholding every single relationship.without hurting the other ..but Akshara herself had grown up in a joint family ..she had learnt the art of negotiating relationships by watching her mother and her aunt ..sadly Abhira did not have that advantage ….someone like Manisha can beautifully mentor her ..I am referring to her because she has a good marriage and her children are more sorted than the other kids in the family …but her immaturity and lack of tact notwithstanding, Abhira has a heart of gold ..she is still raw and needs to grow up a bit ..when that happens, and if she accepts the guidance of well-meaning adults around her, she will soon master the art of handling relationships..if I were to pick between Ruhi and Abhira as prospective brides for a member of my family, I would go with Abhira any day because she does not suffer from character flaws ..she will outgrow the traits that are currently bringing her grief ..so yes, Abhira is sadly an ITV FL and hence is irritatingly meddlesome as a result ..but she is also a lovable young girl who has displayed maturity far beyond her years at times ..in specific, the way she asked Armaan to let go of his guilt via a vis her mother is not something that everyone can do..it requires a large heart and a maturity not commonly seen ….Akshara had Gayatri eating out her hands in five years time..and while Gayatri was nothing like DS, she could be a royal pain when she had to be ..so if the Poddars are meant to be part of this show in the long run, Abhira will learn to bind them with her love too ….i am currently not in a mood to be charitable to Abhira because I hate this track and her being a nosy parker ..but I still want to make the larger point that Abhira is a beautiful soul and she has my heart !
