@bold Abhira's actions aren't acceptable to me. Armaan-Ruhi's initial equation was fine even with those longing looks. Armaan even requested Ruhi to move on which was reasonable. There is nothing wrong in loving someone (said the same for Ruhi long back) but being obsessed with someone who doesn't value your love makes a person lose his/her worth. My point is she'll get a bunch of defenses like "divorce just happened 2 days back, she needs time to move on, she got emotional stuff going on with her, she's human." Even tho Armaan never loved her or stood up for her. That's why I use the argument that Ar- Ru ended 2-min love maybe trying to move on in those early eps thats why in early epi those longing looks. BUT We didn’t accept Armaan and Ruhi doing wrong from the start, but same thing repeated by Abhira gets a free pass cuz she's the FL, that's all I'm saying.

@red It's rare I support any itv fl.... it's either ml or pl for me so can very well understand where you are coming from.

For me, story nd character matter fr. I ain't one of those who can watch just for the FL. Can't stand dumb, inconsistent, annoying FLs. Not saying ITV can't give good FL or story but rn no ITV shows can give either. Idk if u ever saw OG Imlie, I'm watching it rn. In that, the ML Aditya nd FL Imlie are forced at gunpoint to marry. Aditya hates Imlie for ruining his life. Imlie, being only 18, broke village girl, she even gets left at an NGO by Aditya to wash his hands off her. He treats her bad, tells her to never enter his room, and she doesn't until he himself told her one day to enter. He tells her to marry someone else, and immediately she leaves his house the next day. Even when he himself goes to take her back from the village, she refuses. That's the kind of self-respect I like to see in an FL sometimes. The show shows how Aditya slowly changes, starts caring for her, always stands up for her infront of everyone, even sits on the floor to eat with her when she's made to eat with the servants. But for 6 months, there's no growth in Armaan's character. Jumping and dancing outside in a park in two epi isn't character growth for me. How many times has he stood up for Abhira? Did we see him slowly change his views, morals, thinking, beliefs just for Abhira? Nah

Adi, nd imlie story is lit! Enemies to slowly friends to lovers, you can see their progression, it's soooo good!

Needing time to move on is okay, but for that the other person at least needs to have the intention to move on.

Ruhi & Armaan weren’t wrong just bcz they were giving longing looks to each other or crying for each other. They were wrong bcz they never had the intention to move on & still went ahead & ruined Rohit’s life. Ruhi married Rohit to stay near Armaan, that’s cheating & emotional EMA. & Armaan was planning to stay single his whole life & promised Ruhi the same. Now if your love is oh so great, then stand up for it. & even if for whatever reasons you can’t, then at least don’t gaslight & ruin another person’s life for the sake of your love. At least have courtesy to cue in your partner about what he/she is walking in to.

Abhira longing for Armaan is annoying to watch, bcz that person doesn’t deserve it. But it doesn’t make her morally wrong. She will be wrong if she actually makes a move on Armaan.

Ruhi & Armaan were morally wrong from the get go. & Armaan promising Ruhi to never marry another girl & always keep loving her & then asking Ruhi to move on, is gaslighting at best. & Ruhi was wrong to not break the engagement, if she was so in love with Armaan. & even more wrong to go ahead with the wedding without giving Rohit any cue about what he is walking in to. Armaan was equally wrong to not inform Abhira that she is going to stay under one roof with his ex. Even if you think she doesn’t need to know bcz she will be gone within a year, at least don’t gaslight her when she is openly asking him about his relationship with Ruhi.
Now, if Abhira marries another guy, without informing him about Armaan or to stay near Ar. & then still go ahead with corner talks & longing looks. She will be wrong & won’t get any defence as well.

Abhira is not getting any free pass, as she is not doing what Ar-Ru were doing in initial episodes. Even those who supports her, are berating her for taking long to move on. But I don’t find anything similar in these two similar looking scenarios.
