yeah but after that there were lots of good shows too which focused on some other themes instead of seperation smiley36

I only watched such shows. Those shows had less seperation but now a days divorce,remarriage, rectangle triangle , seperation works i guess. So that will happen in gen 4 too smiley36

Not ipkknd but earlier shows were theme oriented.

Like sanjeevani the medical boon, rang badalthi odhani, kyun hotha hai pyaar, kutumb, miley jab hum tum. Balika vadhu,ek hasina thi, kahin kisi roz.eh hazaron main meri behna hai, beyhad, etc

All these shows had a theme and it ran its complete course.

There were many shows which were episodic with no leads still they had a good run too. Like

shararath, karishma ka karishma, shh koi hai, cid etc.

But now a days, there is no variety of shows. It's just same old 2 ppl falling in love divorce, marriage divorce marriage.

Now a days it seems like all channels wants to promote the goal of a women is to marry and fix sasural problems 🤣

Itv in 2000s had more career oriented women than we have right now. Bkas was promoted as singer wants to excel in her singing. Trp was low. They got her married to some random villain then hero resuced her and she forgot her career.

This is the situation of itv now. But if we consider earlier shows. Sanjeevani was only about doctors.

Ek hasina thi was about rape victim. Kyun hotha hai pyaar was loosely based kuch kuch hotha hai i guess. So had good college life scenes.

Balika vadhu was bout journey of women who got married at very early age and her journey.

Rang badhlati odhani had better justifaction why ml has to marry fl as he was held responsible for her husband's death. It was not like her mother was asking him to marry. But it was his guilt and punishment which made him to marry. I can not accept a girl who is in 21st centuary marrying random guy for security especially in shows like yrkkh where they must be in 2075.

In this show fl lost her husband because of mls mistake. And he tries to get her married to some one else by giving some money and that guy escapes. villagers when try to kill ml by beating him up she decides to save him by marrying him. But she was never commanding or forcing herself on him. She was his friend and she decided to move back when she got to know he has some one else in his life. But the ml falls in love with her before that and he helps her to study as she was not educated. And she helps him to establish his singing career.

These situations still looks valid than what they are showing now a days marrying in the name of taking promise 😐 in this situation villagers are many so no one can save ml so it's a do or die situation. But now a days no one is there in hospital but ppl force two ppl to marry just to give security instead of using that time to find ways to handle the criminal or threat.
