That is because his feelings regarding Abhira are still at a budding stage. It hasn't been expressed explicitly. Him saying attraction or love will be out of character because Armaan sees Abhira as only his responsibility. He is definitely attached to Abhira. Although he hasn't realised it yet.

Sheh himself wants Armaan to get gaalis. Who says like that when you clearly know that fans like Abhimaan...
