Yes.. Arnav had lots of flaws. But neither him nor his family can be compared to poddars. Khushi was well received by arnav's sister and nani.If I remember it correctly,he neither shouted at her infront of family members also.
But situation and family dynamics is so different in rishta. I sincerely hope that they redeem Armaan's character before it gets too late
The Raizadas never accused their bahus, Payal or Khushi, without valid reasons, even when Manorama used to taunt them for their modest backgrounds. Despite this, others in the family always supported them. It's undeniable that Arnav and Khushi had already developed feelings for each other before the forced marriage occurred. So, even if there were misunderstandings, there was already an underlying affection. Post the forced wedding in front of Shyam or after Shyam's truth got exposed and Anjali started resentmrnt towards Khushi, Arnav attempted to strike a balance between his di and khushi. When Khushi departed feeling guilty, he brought her back and apologized for his mistakes. In another instance during their second wedding, when Garima's truth was revealed by Arnav's Dadi (the Mimi from Ye Rishta), despite being upset, he didn't blame Khushi. Instead, he stood up for her in front of his Dadi on various occasions. That's redemption, and the PH succeeded in not disappointing the audience in that aspect.
Armaan has a considerable distance to cover. For that, he needs the courage to stand up against wrongdoing. Moreover, someone needs to confront him with the reality that his family isn't flawless and needs to acknowledge their mistakes.
