I think the Neil scene was just to emphasise that children have their parents quality even if they have never met the parent. Like Roohi has Late Neil's qualities, Baby AkshNav (if born) will have Late Abhinav's qualities.

Of course, that was the point. But Neil was not clumsy. And it was not Neil's clumsiness that they showed. What they showed was his breakdowns. Comparing his breakdown and anger with Ruhi being clumsy is not the way to show Neil's jhalak.

I don't watch this show anymore... Its even pukeworthy to read such regressive thoughts they are showing in this serial..I did happen to catch one episode after so much was written recently on Abhinav but after that the next episode fell again flat..

Abhimanyus character I can't stand on screen .. Even his whitewashing seems fake (lol ya same guy whos scenes I used to watch in loop)

Akshara is shown so despo to marry her ex even knowing she is getting into family who will never accept her kid. If she was at least marrying some other guy it would have made sense

Manjiri Swarna or any other Birlas, goenkas kids makes Zero sense..

The Neil thing, its likely cause they didn't actually have any FBs of Neil being clumsy and breaking things, so they just gave anger FBs instead. With the level of execution this team has had for pretty much everything, its not too surprising.

And as to the other points. This is a nuanced issue and its being treated like that from the show. Which is why we saw everyone's views on the abortion issue. We saw similar views during Arohi's abortion issue as well. Back then Manjari wanted Arohi to keep the baby even though she knew that it would mean Arohi won't be able to move on easily. Right now she is on the other side of the issue, where the Goenkas were standing before. Plus the idea is that both Swarna and Manjari have had issues with hiding their son's identity and stuff. They both had complicated issues with this and so are voting for abortion to simplify things rather than have more issues down the line.

In general, I don't think Ak will ever opt for abortion and nor would Abhi want her to. The whole issues with loving one child more than the other and stuff are also just stupid. Abhi has clearly shown that he can love two kids equally no matter the parentage. Even with Shivu he is extremely delicate. So its not a matter of love, but a matter of perspective. Years down the line, will this kid feel alienated in Birla house even if Abhi loves him equally? Will this kid keep reminding Ak of Nav and she will never be able to move on? How will that impact her relationship with Abhi? How will that impact Abhir and the kid's relationship?

All of these are valid questions and they are being raised. All the family perspectives were already shown and I am guessing next episode we will see Abhira perspectives as well. This show is not about social messages, but more about complicated and often misguided human emotions.

These two mothers are absolutely disgusting!

Swarna was never a good mother or stepmother. She gave away her own son to be raised by her brother and he grew up poor. Obviously he hated her and resented Kartik after he came to know the truth.

She loved Kartik but was never able to bond with him on her own-Naira had to help her. She also caused the first separation of Kaira. She never knew what Keerti was going through, Keerti would only tell stuff to her daadi. Later also she never really cared for her. So why would anyone take any mothering advice for her? She who could call her own son dead for 20 years and not care for him? And then he ultimately died of overdose.

Manjari has her own issues that she imprints on Abhi. She is so vile and full of bitterness, and has said so many things-I wish someone would confront her! She literally said she never loved Neil-then why did she get so heartbroken over his death? Nobody ever said how unfair she was to him by hiding his real identity and letting him be abused by his father. Then she was obsessed with Ruhi and now Abhir. Ruhi is not her blood right- then why is she staying there?

She never thought about Arohi-only what Arohi can do for her precious son. She never wanted and even now never thinks about Arohi's remarriage. Only Kairav did that and he was the only one who pointed that they are just keeping Arohi because they want Ruhi. For her, Akshara is a doll that she can gift to her son. She literally wants to forget that Abhinav was ever a part of Akshara or Abhir's life-and make them forget. This is just blatant sexism. When Kartik lost Naira, he had his 2 children with her. He also remarried Sirat within a year. He always thought about Naira too but was able to move on. Sirat gracefully accepted that. She always wanted Akshu to know about Naira while the Goenkas were against it. Kairav never distinguished between Akshu and Arohi-he loves them equally even though Arohi is his half sister. Sirat always respected Naira and Kartik's love for Naira.

Abhimanyu really needs to speak up! He needs to point out his mother's hypocrisy and how misogynistic her thinking is. He doesn't do what his mother wants but he needs to be clear that she cannot interfere in his personal life and say things like that. I wish Akshu had shut her up too. Why the hell does she need to placate her? I don't like the deference she shows her especially when Manjari has shown what she really thinks of her and Abhinav. Manjari is extremely disrespectful. I don't know how season 1 of YRKKH was so much more mature and dignified. They beautifully showed all relationships, second marriages, inter-racial marriage, adoption etc. The conflict of old generation vs new also showed so nicely with Mohit-Nandini not ever wanting to take Naksh from his parents because people in the old generations used to do-instead they decided to adopt a child elsewhere. The Maheswari and Singhanias were also so very decent. They may be old fashioned but they didn't have hatred, jealousy or resentment. They were not egoistic or regressive like the Goenkas and Birlas are. They truly valued family and happiness.

The first season was really the best- this season is too toxic.
