LOL I would still have to disagree with you on that point. No, Ruhi's insecurities were not valid cuz Abhi didn't neglect her.....she was shown overtly dependent on him at that point so she over-reacted to every perceived moment of Abhi not being at her beck and call 24/7....in fact at every point he was trying his best to juggle his responsibilities towards both kids. It was the Goenka sisters who accused him of neglecting each child by turn and kept telling him he should only stick to Ruhi......this very precious Arohi included who is now suddenly being hailed for her parenting simply cuz she's stopped wanting to latch on to Abhi?
So yeah sorry but I don't think there has been any believable arc there to get soooooo many essays written over it since yesterday
. It's too funny cuz the scene wasn't even about parenting......it was just about getting done with the angle of whether Ruhi will have any issues with Abhira remarrying....lol but uske basis pe people have been non-stop writing essays on how this proves the greatness of Arohi as a parent
She literally did nothing other than outsourcing the parenting to Abhi half the time while constantly gaslighting him if he wasn't doing all his nanny duties for Ruhi
......the woman who literally told Abhi to choose between his own son and the niece he has raised like a daughter.....lol yeah that woman will never be hailed by me.
And I don't see any point in comparing Goenka sisters as mothers....lol they have both been subpar as per the writing twists....even though writers keep trying to hail both of them as great mothers
. But I don't feel the need to hail Arohi simply to put down Ak......Ak's issues and failings as a mother are different but Arohi has been no less. She's just a prop like Nav was.
I don't think that is entirely fair. Ak is the only one that his flipped so much that she is giving us whiplash. But all the other characters may have illogical feelings or insecurities, but have maintained a logical narrative. Arohi and Ruhi trajectory has been one of consistent growth. After the leap Arohi was whitewashed. But then with Ak coming back a lot of her old insecurities also cropped up she was shown with them and then slowly shown letting go of them as well. I think that is a proper realization arc for her. She will def feel overshadowed by Ak when she comes back into Birla house, but she has been consistently dealing with her issues with more grace and maturity.
Ruhi is Arohi's daughter first and that will always remain true. Until Arohi herself was insecure, it was reflected in Ruhi too. Ruhi's insecurity wasn't just about Abhi but literally about having another kid who is taking attention away from her by everyone. Abhi's explanation to her also wasn't just about himself, but more broad to talk about siblings, cause Ruhi didn't have siblings staying with her before. With Ruhi happy, Arohi was initially resistant but she has also accepted this new dynamic. In the background, Arohi was shown consistently parenting Ruhi. When Abhi went to Kasauli, after the custody case, etc. They form a natural team that Abhir and Ak never did. They have a special bond just like Abhi and Ruhi do. It makes sense to appreciate her parenting in this case, esp compared to Ak's parenting and compared to who she was when she started out. Arohi changed for Ruhi, not for anyone else. She became a better person for her daughter. While Ak became a worse person hating Abhi and not caring about her son.
Arohi always put Ruhi first, even in her misguided notions. This is clearly not true of Ak. Ak does treat Abhir with the same care, doesn't seem to care about his emotions, and instead gaslights a small child. She treats Abhi and Abhir like some windup toys who have to do everything according to her or she will get upset and throw a tantrum. They aren't supposed to have any emotions or anything that goes against her expectations. It's bizarre to me that they are showing such a mother and then hailing her for being the best mother.
