Looking at Abhimanyu's journey from the beginning to till date, I have realized one thing that he has an extreme personality & that is his biggest strength as well as his biggest flaw.
Such people are either winner or loser in life . They can't be in between.
Look at his relationship with his parents. He extremely loved his mother & he extremely hated his father. He adores his mother. The day he came to know about his father's extra marital affair & the marital abuse , he broke all the relationships with his father .Despite his father's repeated attempt to get closer to Abhimanyu or his mother trying to reconcile their relationship,he never mended his relationship with his father because he can either love or cannot love his father, there can't be in between
Profession : Again extremism.He has always been college topper, Udaipur topper & top cardiologist in the city . Mediocracy is not for extremists.
Love : He was running away from love but when he fell in love with Akshara, he was ready to run in any direction to get her. He literally let Goenkas walk over him multiple times just for the sake of his love.He literally left his self respect, his job, his hospital, his family & practically everything to be with her . Even when she ran away for 1 year without telling anything, he was extremely angry & suffering from depression but he never stopped loving her. After Neil's death, just after 5 months he came to know about Akshara getting remmaried & probably after few months he would have got to know that now she even has a baby with her current husband. That would have broke his already broken heart into thousand pieces. But nothing pushed him to move on from her & now, even after 7 years , he hasn't moved on. Repeated insult, humiliation, abandonment & even mental trauma, he has suffered so much but still he loved her.. Again, this is a very extreme behaviour.
Anger : We all know about his extreme anger. He lost his brother Neil & two babies on a single day & was on the verge of losing even his mother next day.. Even Abhimanyu was at his lowest & going through hell on white day & it's understandable. But it's also a fact that he was blinded by his extreme anger & so he divorced Akshara that day & refused to listen to her when she called him. His extreme anger led to his destruction.
Parenthood: He loved Roohi a lot, raised her like his own daughter & treated her like his princess. He gave all his love, care & undivided attention to her for the last 6 years.. The fact that he is Roohi's best friend, poppy , family everything says a lot how he made her feel all these years.. He loved Abhir & did a lot for the kid,even before knowing that he is his own blood & when he assumed Abhir to be Akshara's kid with another man .
His extreme behavior makes people to expect a lot from him & in that case, if he falters even for a day , the person on the receiving end just can't take it. Kehte hai " Jo karta hai,umeed bhi sirf usi se hoti hai aur phir sabse jada baddua bhi usi ko lagti hai " Akshara is okay with Aarohi, Kairav & Goenka family. She doesn't even expect a sorry from them, despite them being equally at fault. But she can't forgive Abhimanyu & not even ready to understand his pain, loss & trauma . And nobody but Abhimanyu himself is responsible for that expectation. Similarly, Abhimanyu raised Aarohi's daughter, gave her fatherly love & he even took a backseat in his career to raise Roohi . But just one day, on picnic camp he gave more importance to Abhir & wanted to spend time with his own son, & she lost it , she couldn't take it.
But again, who is responsible ? Abhimanyu himself is responsible for setting the expectations so high .He keeps doing things selflessly for others, itna jyada that they can't take it if he faulters even for a day.
He was, is & will remain a sufferer coz he keeps doing things selflessly for people whom he loves a lot, only to get backstabbed & abandoned later on , by the same people. Dil ki sunne wale logon ki zindagi jyada jhand hoti hai .
I am not saying Abhimanyu is perfect, he has his own flaws but he always keeps improving, learns from his mistakes & turns out to be a better person... All he ever wanted was a happy & peaceful live with Akshara but that never happened.It hurts when you expect bare minimum from your partner but they constantly disappoint & disrespect you but they give you the exact same to a different person after leaving you in pieces..
