Something I am noticing is that people who support Abhimanyu and people who support Akshnav are fighting and hiting below the belt everywhere. We all have our opinions and reasons for believing who we do and we are all allowed to also.

What my question is, why can't each of the groups talk only within the groups? Like minded people discussing like minded ideas. Why does either of the other group even have to comment on the other topic? I do this, I check if the topic itself is very one sided in the first post or is it generic discussion and then if it's against what I believe, I dont comment only. When someone responds to me with a negative comment or question me, I try to reason but when they don't seem like they want to try to see my point, I just agree to disagree and leave.

I think most of us are trying to do the same but sometimes people don’t just disagree, they start mocking and some do enjoy instigating and mocking others. When that happens its not always easy to ignore and back off for every time. I too have learned after some mistakes how to protect my own peace of mind.

Unfortunately, we can’t prevent people from writing opposing views but I hope there’s some way to make discussions more civilized and respectful. I feel mocking, sarcasm can be done in private chats/groups with friends but its not good on public forum.

This forum reminds me of Shah House these days due to all the Tamashah! Maybe I should fake a heart attack like Dukhmukh to stop all this 😆

But that's my point. If all of us has established that the "other" side isn't gonna change their views, why even comment on topics that are clearly for the other side. What good would that do? All that ends up happening is that the topic gets closed and a conversation ends where the "side" was getting their annoyance out, together.

The challenge is will everyone agree to the arrangement? Since some people do instigate to derail and close the discussions purposefully.

Ya, I have noticed that, but ignore them I guess. Let them say whatever they want to, they aren't gonna change their opinion so why waste time and energy? The whole point of using this forum, at least for me, is to vent out my frustration or share my happiness over certain tracks, so anyways anybody not explaining their point but repeating what they feel isn't gonna be a productive conversation for me. Same applies to them from my end.

Example, somebody said to me here I cant understand the pain of a mother losing her child and that's why I am siding with the father. I chose to ignore it even though it was personally triggering. I very very recently lost my newborn nephew, and I saw the pain of parents, so I know that assuming only mothers break or they have pain isn't correct, but I also know me saying that, even if I said with this information, won't have had an effect because the person already put me in the "non empathetic" person category and them saying it will make me feel worse because it would be triggering for me.

I too have seen a father’s breakdown - even a year after miscarriage. And also witnessed it in my own case so I also multiple events in my personal life which make me empathize with both the leads.

And even if we empathize with someone it doesn’t mean that we can’t see or discuss their flaws! But many people think empathy is only when we blindly support the other person even if they are being unreasonable or unethical in our view and let things slide.
