Today, I want to take a moment to appreciate a character who has captured our hearts with his complex emotions, Abhimanyu Birla. He is a man whose journey through life has been filled with childhood trauma, mistakes, and growth. Abhimanyu's story is a testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the capacity to learn from our past. Please Note that I am talking as per ITV ML standards.
From the very beginning, it has been shown that Abhimanyu's tough childhood shaped him into the person that he was. His relationship with his mother, characterized by both love and trauma, added layers of depth to his character, showcasing the complexity of their bond.
Love, marriage, and fatherhood are significant aspects of Abhimanyu's life so far. I have personally liked him, was irked, hated him how he behaved on the White day, waited for him to realise where he was wrong and from my POV I can see he has realized what he did was wrong. Even though I wanted him to apologize to Akshara instead of confessing in front of Shefali of how wrong he was. I accepted that as in a show full of flawed characters he is the only one who has accepted what he did and how he did was wrong even though in front of Shefali and once in front of his own family that he was wrong.
So despite his mistakes and the repercussions they bought, Abhimanyu has shown growth and maturity in accepting that his ex-wife doesn't love him anymore, his son has another father too. Six years of fostering Ruhi reflected his selflessness and his commitment to family. He embraced this responsibility wholeheartedly, promising to love and care for Ruhi indefinitely.
One particular moment that stands out as a testament to Abhimanyu's growth for me was when he realized that Akshara was confessing her feelings for Abhinav, not him, he handled it with grace and acceptance. He didn't even for a moment thought that this could be for him. This scene for me showcased his acceptance of the fact that he had lost the special place he once held in Akshara's heart. Rather than seeking vengeance or feeling bitter, he chose to prioritize his son. Abhimanyu understands the importance of maintaining Abhinav's place in Abhir's life while also carving out his own space, which he has somewhat achieved with success at least as DocMan.
It is disheartening to see how Abhimanyu is being wronged at the moment by those he loved(Akshara), trusts(Nav), and cares for(Goenkas). He has paid the price for his unintentional mistakes, yet everyone around him seems unable to see his growth and change.
In my view, Punishing a father for the crimes of a husband(He wasn't even a very bad husband would be unjust, as Abhimanyu's actions reflect his growth and willingness to make amends.
Italic: And Akshara even though she claimed that it was a Umair Kaid for her is aware of this.
I hope his path continue towards happiness, and the love and acceptance he deserve. He is a beautifully complex character. 🌟
