AbhiM is not at all a monster. He does understand intellectually what is right vs what is wrong. You get to see his good side ( which is genuinly good) when nothing of his interest is involved. He was so good, friendly to Mr. Sharma in Kasauli till he did not know the truth that he is AK's husband. After knowing, the same AbhiM said to AbhiN, you can never be a friend.
Yes, he does know that bringing the finances part was not right, but his conscience goes into hinding when his obsessive nature overpowers it. This is how I see the character of AbhiM. Views can definitely differ and we should enjoy it.
