Look real life people have friends of all ages and genders. They hug and talk to people. It just so happens Abhi is talking to Arohi and Akshu is talking to Abhinav. But do either of them really have "that" type of relationship? No. They do not.
Akshu orders Abhinav about the house telling to pay bills or buy groceries. She makes her jam, cooks, and cleans. They talk about finances and Abhir. She was with him for 6 years. She told him nothing about her past until Abhi came to Kasauli. He doesn't even now she use to sing! So what type of relationship you tell me she has with Abhinav??? Nothing.
Abhi works at the hospital and then goes home to take care of Roohi. Any conversations he has it about work and Roohi. And of the conversations they do have Abhi still looks freaking awkward with her. He still keeps certain things close to his chest about. The only difference is yes families are there so they talk about things that happen in family gatherings. But there is no romantic relationship. There is nothing especially since Abhi knows his truth which is he is still forever in love with Akshu. So yes Arohi may look or whatever but she cannot touch.
Just hope people don't lose it and say Abhira is over for me and all that nonsense. That is one sure way to make makers decide to do just that. If you want Abhira you need to support Abhira. Side people are part of the story we just have to face that fact.
I honestly recommend listening to the recorded Twitter space from ItsMini19. Her focus is on character point of view. When I listened to a couple of those podcasts it brought a lot of things in perspective. It makes me view the serial in a very different way now. Don't listen to the rant sessions right after episodes. Those can slip into the negative sometimes. The recorded sessions are much better as they are focused discussions. You can catch the live recordings around 11am EST.
