Abhi thought his relationship was wrong and it was hurting his family so he let it go. In anger he said a lot of uncalled for things. He is like that. And truth is that happens in real life too. People say the stupidest and meanest things when angry. Then the guilt of it sometimes they cannot face. So they get angry and may be try and justify their actions even more.

He thought he could move on. As long as she was okay he could just continue living. He had no expectations of re-marriage or anything. Just a single life taking on the responsibility of raising Roohi. His mother did not help by keeping him busy doing this and that. He hardly had any alone time to reflect. And at night when he shut his doors to his room he was so exhausted from the day that he most likely couldn't think straight.

I am not trying to justify the behavior just simply looking into what could have happened in those 6 years.

He was wrong for what he did and he paid the price. On that day he didn't value her and he didn't value their relationship.

That is why I thought the soul talking episode was so important. He had to face the reality that he only loves Akshu. He can only love her. That he lost the one thing in his life that made his life have meaning. So once he understands this he will slowly start putting the pieces together on how to rebuild trust and stand by Akshu the way she needed him to 6 years ago.

How’s the new names for the characters to look out for, I just made them up

The purpose for the accident was

1) give Abhi that hope and proof that Akshu stills loves him

2) to start waking up the love inside of Akshu that she has been denying

3) Abhinav needs to see this and understand he needs to return back Abhi's family. He should not be playing house house with Akshu anymore.

These things need to happen for the rest of the events to follow. Since the makers are sort of recreating tilak 2.0 there is going be some push and pull now between Abhi and Akshu. This time around there are families and children involve and that is the next obstacles that has to be addressed along with Akshu's fake marriage with Abhinav. Abhi is finally (I hope) questioning Akshu the way we wished he had done when he heard the news of her wedding. Why did you get married? How can you have moved on when I cannot move on? And I now know you haven't moved on because I still affect you. So what is going on???
