I was thinking why they introduced a character like Abhinav who is such a clear contrast to Abhimanyu in Akshara's life. And why are they showing Abhir calling him Papa, cuddling with him, basically behaving like a normal son does with his father. What's the need? In season 2, Kairav was clearly craving for his father and Naira was single. Vedika was inconsequential and he didn't have any other child to compete with. I mean Kartik was close to Vansh but nothing like Abhimanyu and Ruhi.
A lot of ITVs show leaps with the main characters temporarily raising families with other significant others till their reunions. But their S.O is similar to their main love interest in terms of wealth and social status. For instance King and Abhi in Kumkum Bhagya, Arjun and Rishabh in Kundali Bhagya etc. But Abhimanyu and Abhinav are completely different. Abhimanyu is raised in a wealthy family, by doting parents, with uncle and aunt and cousins and half brother. He is a celebrated surgeon with a glittering career. He is handsome with abs, an eligible bachelor-in short he has everything. Abhinav is an orphan who was rejected romantically because of that. He is struggling to make ends meet and he is an epitome of kindness, he helps others because he wishes he had also received help. He is an optimist compared to Abhimanyu pessimism. Why were Akshara and Abhinav similar? Because both believe in the beauty of life, and they don't blame others for their problems. That's why Abhinav was exactly what Akshara needed at that moment where she was at the lowest point in her life. She needed genuine kindness and warmth, not rage and unleashed wrath.
Abhimanyu is traumatized because of Manjari and Harsh. Mostly because of Manjari. He loves her, but he also hates her for being so weak. She's both mentally and physically weak and needs constant support. She doesn't understand how her weakness has always impacted her son's life. Abhimanyu doesn't understand what a big liability she is, or he understands but can't escape it. I see Abhimanyu as someone who is craving to escape but can't because of his mother.
Akshara would rather live in Pathankot and raise her child with Abhinav while struggling daily than live with toxic Birlas in Udaipur. Akshara used to be someone who yearned for family. She always wanted to live in a huge family and would have wanted that for her son too. But I see more happiness in her little bubble than in Birla Mansion. Every Birla member is struggling with something or the other. Only little Ruhi is happy but they are badly spoiling her, so she will also become unhappy like her mother.
I think Abhinav will die and Abhimanyu will be blamed for it by Abhir. Like he has a heart problem and Abhimanyu performs surgery but fails to save him. Abhir will hate for killing his super papa and will be unable to accept him as his biological father. Abhimanyu will also struggle between Ruhi and Abhir, that's pretty much foreshadowed. But Abhimanyu will also have to come out his trauma, his insecurities, his darkness. If Arohi is Akshara's tormentor, then Manjari is Abhimanyu's. Abhimanyu has made Akshara face the mirror so many times, pointing out her flaws, now it's his turn to face the mirror. Manjari has manipulated and weakened her so many times with medical issues and mental health- get her a therapist. I hate when they make leads of the show bend to the whims of people who actually need medical attention. If Manjari is depressed, get her pills and therapists. Get her to take a break so she can let go of her guilt towards Neil and her subsequent anger. It's not Akshara's fault that her health is weak. People lose family members but they don't stop living. If she is struggling, then get help. Don't enable her.
Abhinav's personality is really appealing more because he is not rich. He is unambitious but happy go lucky. I agree Akshara and Abhinav are two pods of the same pea. Maybe that's why they don't have romantic chemistry though we can Akshara is stronger in her relationship here. She is hard working, and trying to make money. Abhimanyu is such a dominating personality that he overpowered Akshara, but here Akshara's personality is shining. She has lost her innocence, but she has become street smart and practical. I actually like Akshara now more than before because before she always seemed so laid back and submissive. I think she has realized that and is actively molding her son to become strong too.
