I've watched so much of YRKKH (Akshara-Naitik, Kaira era, and some of this Abhira era), and over the years, the show has just turned into a narrative to glorify the leads at any cost. Earlier (with Akshara and Naitik) all the side characters had a story which is why it was easy to root for Akshara and Naitik. Akshara (season 1) wasn't the holier than thou and goody two shoes female lead, and Naitik wasn't the toxic, aggressive, untrusting male lead. They both made mistakes, both struggled to find their identity (in the family and in their professional life), but still had a spine. Point is, they were both HUMAN.

But over the next two seasons, the leads have been glorified so much that I just get this sadistic pleasure in seeing them get taken down. There was this one episode when Vansh and Kairav were kids and Vansh gets hurt. Gayu (Vansh's mom) legit takes down Kartik, Naira, and every other Goenka there for being partial towards Kartik, Naira, and Kairav. I love love LOVED that episode!! 😍😄

So now, even in this season, I am just fed up of Akshu-Abhimanyu being glorified in everything they do. Instead, I just have so much fun watching Aarohi doing everything she does. She started off grey and was so relatable, but now she's obviously on the track of becoming a traditional ITV villain. Even then though, I'm STILL rooting for her and only watching this show for her. 😈 It's just so much fun to watch her man! Even when she plots and plans and does tricks... She is just so much more interesting to watch. 😂😝

So, my question is... Is there anyone on this forum who is rooting for her? Or watching this show for her? Just curious to know if there's anyone out there like me.

Nah, I don't root for arohi, because her actions are never justified. Gayu never had bad intentions and was not an all out selfish character. She was justified in lashing out at kaira and goenka's when that incident took place because a lot of injustice had happened with her. Unlike arohi who acts like nobody loves her despite goenka's always giving her what she wants, gayu actually had a very tragic life full of death of her close loved ones and abandonment issues, making her more insecure on some rare occasions.

On the other hand you have arohi, a girl who to get her way or to get out of trouble for problems or mistakes she herself created goes about and emotionally manipulates people and plays victim by lying that nobody loves her in goenka's and that they give her step treatment, despite all the times they've overlooked her bullying towards akshu, despite all the times arohi's mistakes have been forgiven. Eventually there came a time where it became clear that arohi is so manipulative and selfish that she even uses her mother's death as a way to always get her way, because that's the card she would always use when things did not go according to her plan or when she was caught out and reprimanded.

Further if goenka's on the rare occasion actually reprimanded arohi for her mistakes she shamelessly would turn things around on them by instead of admitting she is at fault would justify her behaviour by claiming goenka's have mistreated her, which is so not true given how goenka's always kept quiet when arohi accused and insulted akshu, when akshu stayed away from home for 3 years because of arohi, and they all agreed to neil-arohi wedding despite akshu herself going through divorce to neil's brother at that time (what family would get their daughter married to a family where the son gave divorce to their other daughter) because arohi did her usual emotional drama of claiming goenka's love her less than akshara, yet many times goenka's failed akshara and let arohi get whatever she wants and treat akshara however she wants.

Arohi is unlikable for the above behaviour of hers and there is nothing that justifies her behaviour either.

Yes I root for her and I watch the show only for her.

This is all very true. Gayu was one of my fav characters from the Kaira era.

I haven't seen all of the Abhira era episodes, but I get what you're saying here. She sounds like Kuhu here. I had so many hopes from Kuhu in YRHPK, but the writers turned her into a villain too. This production house doesn't know how to write grey characters. 🤦‍♀️

And you're right. Aarohi is an in-and-out selfish character. But still... Despite all that, I find myself only watching her scenes and rooting for only her. I just can't stand the self-righteous, angel-faced ITV leads anymore. I legit have zero logical explanation for this. Maybe it has to do with Pranali, Harshad, and Karishma's acting.

This is one point I disagree with. If Neil and Aarohi are really in love, then both Abhira and Neirohi relationships should be treated separately. Like when Kaira got divorced, Mansi-Anmol didn't deserve to pay the price for that by breaking up.

Yeah... This seems to be the majority opinion. And I can't even disagree. 🤷🏻‍♀️

But I still like her. I guess I'm one of those who roots for the villain...

Yes! Exactly!!

Almost every single time an ambitious woman is shown on ITV, she is shown as vile and evil. Even when a woman gets attracted to a guy first and pursues him (rather than the male taking the lead), she is shown as vile and evil. To be perfect, women have to be innocent, naive, and doe-eyed (i.e. boring) to be acceptable leads on ITV.

Maybe yes nowadays few r liking d vamps maybe their zeal to abuse someone else
