Akshu should refrain from trying to talk to/calm Neil - Page 2

Yes Manjari is human too, her going to see the child of Ema of her husband took heart but her bringing the child home cannot be credited to her generosity as she clearly says that she didn't want to and it's only because of Abhi that everyone in Birla house agreed to that. If it was upto Manjari she would have left the child there and been satisfied in her own little kindness of visiting and gifting few things. And even that would have been better for Neil than what he actually has had to go through. His being illegitimate is not his fault so he shouldn't have to suffer for that, it does not mean Abhi has rights, he doesn't. Also as Neil himself said, Manjari could have told the truth to someone, most of all to Neil himself so that he needn't have lived all his life thinking that the crumbs from Birla table he got was such momentous favour upon him, by Manjari as well as Abhi.. That is really the point, it's a huge shift in perspective that would make a terrible difference in the emotional state of any person.

Manjari brought Neil .home for any xyz reason and adopted him but was she indifferent to Neil and abhimanyu?

An orphan who was grateful to Birla for their generosity or as an illegitimate child of harsh , how will it make a difference to his position in the family? If anything Neil should be mad at harsh , not manjari. He must question harsh as he is the man responsible for his suffering.

Yes she was different to both. It's been clear as a day from Day1 that Manjari loves Abhi more than all the other kids adopted or nieces/nephews. She has expressed it with words multiple times. And it's perfectly natural for her to love her own kid more. That's human and nobody is blaming her for that.

Neil is grateful for what she has done for him. He expressed that but it doesn't lessen what she didn't do for him. He denied him his rights of a biological son of the house. And she didn't just hide it from Neil or HB but also elders of the house who could have dealt with the situation more sensitively.

Yes Harshis responsible for all the mess and Neil should be and is angry at him but

Manjari's selective goodness doesn't lessen her fault in the mess.

This is perfectly said! Manjari's "Selective goodness" did more harm than good.. It shows an underlying cunning on Mataji's part.. As someone mentioned it would have been a better and more genuine kindness if she had just become a sponsor of Neil in the orphanage and seen to his education and general care. Then he needn't have lived like a slave and been grateful for things which should have been his by right.

Neil is the biological son of harsh, he isn't the legitimate son of Birla family. Sorry I don't see manjari as being selectively good. I have always seen her treating Neil as her son.

As for keeping secrets..yes..sometimes some.decisions go wrong , that doesn't mean I will write off that character. Ye tamasha 20 yrs pehle hota , I dunno what the outcome may be..may be harsh will respect manju more , god knows why chose the route of abuse 😉 may be abhimanyu and Neil would turn up like aroo and akshu ...woh bhi acha hi hota..akshu wouldn't be blamed as she stumbled upon a family secret. But I am sure they have a lot more things to blame on akshu , they must be coming soon.

The rights of a biological sons of same father (legitimate or illegitimate) are the same in the eyes of law. The term legitimate actually holds no value in the eyes of law. It's just a construct designed by society to oy give legitimacy to the kids born to a marriage. Now Neil would have no claim over Manjari's properties but for Harsh Birla's, yes he has equal claim to everything Abhimanyu has.

She treats everyone with love be it Parth, Neil, Nishtha, Shefali. That's her nature. I don't doubt her goodness. But he has expressed it multiple times that Abhimanyu is the only kid that actually matters to her. She even said it multiple times pre confession that too in front of all the kids. I still remember the awkward looks Parth and Neil exchanged when she declared ki mere Abhi jaisa beta aur koi ho nhi sakta duniya me.

Anyway whatever be her reason for hiding it for so long, it clearly was in the wrong. Maybe they would turn out to be Aarohi - Akshara or maybe they wouldn't. That's a risk you have to take but Neil never showed that jealous streak towards Abhimanyu which Aarohi had since before revelation. So, who knows?? Also Abhimanyu isn't the kind who would take shit lying down like Akshara.

I am actually more pissed at her blaming Akshara for their mess and justifying her wrong. She doesn't have it in her to admit that she was wrong despite it being pointed out by multiple people especially the wronged party (Neil). This Aarohi like behavior is what put me off.

See..Neil as an adopted son of harsh and manjari has the same rights as abhimanyu . Pl correct me if I am wrong . I am not aware of the adoption laws but I guess when the parents adopt a child , he becomes their legitimate heir.

As a woman and as a wife , manjari is a degraded character for me. She has been taking abuse from her husband and protecting the same man. It's indigestible .

As a mil , she is a normal mil ..those who look for mothers in mil will forever be disappointed and those who look for daughters in dils will also be unsatisfied . She will also protect akshu a lot of times and stand for her , she will blame her many times and may also kick her out bec her loyalty is with her husband and son. As per itv standards everyone will do their part of stupidity to create misunderstandings.

Now ..abhimanyu ...abhimanyus graph will always go up and down like straight and inverted V . He won't trust akshu , he will hardly listen to her..but he will also love her care for her and protect her ..he will always be a mixed bag. What I am happy about , what I predicted during the wedding came true in such a short span of time..those who were living in delusion that abhira story will be based on trust and understanding like naksh of s1 can go for a.hike. good trps will drop and the show will shut down sooner. If they have nothing good to show , as well shut it down.

I don't want to get into an argument of you have already made up your mind regarding the future of the show and Abhira. And if according to you Manjari's behavior is expected and justified as an ITV MIL but Abhimanyu becomes a complete villian for not having the best emotional intimacy on an emotionally draining day then, there's nothing left to discuss.

But this is my POV about this character. Feel free to disagree.

She is a wonderful mother to her biological child Abhimanyu until she has to chose between her husband and son. She is a okay mother to all the other kids she claims to love as her own children - Neil and Akshara until they cause her inconvenience

Her priority list is

1. Husband

2. Abhimanyu

3. Herself

4. Other kids Neil, Akshu

You clearly overlooked my bolded statement. As a woman I definitely don't really agree with her priorities. But as a character I don't have a problem with her list, just her hypocrisy is claiming to put #2 and #4 equal and on top of the list. Worst is she refuses to listen or understand others' concern but ready to play victim in front of all.

She emotionally blackmailed her #2 to marry the sister of the girl he loves to please her #1. She overlooked her #2 literally crying and hurting himself during that track just because her #1 asked her to. She is a good person for sure but she is not a good mother that she claims to be.

Again I have a problem with hypocrisy and victim hood. That's the same issue I have with Aarohi. I dislike/hate for these very reasons.

Mahima and HB are more evil characters but they own their mistakes and don't play victim. I admire characters who are self aware.

she travelled from Birlas to Goenkas - could have given 1 call to Abhi to inform about Neil. She probably wanted to save the day alone. 🤷🏽‍♀️
