This Adoption Track reminds me of…

This is Us (arguably the best tv show in recent times). Specifically, this scenario is reminiscent of season one where Randall learns Rebecca hid the truth about his adoption from him for 36 years. Randall was adopted by Jack and Rebecca Pearson when he was an infant. Throughout his childhood he tried to learn about his birth family but Rebecca always insisted she knew nothing. Hence, he was led to believe his biological parents wanted no relationship with him when the reality was far from it. Randall’s biological father, William, wanted to wait until he was sober and ready to meet Randall. When he was 36, Randall located William and learnt that Rebecca lied and hid William from him. Similarly, Abhi is learning a truth about his identity and adoption that his mother, the person he trusted most, kept from him.

Abhi’s bond with Manjari reminds me of Randall’s bond with Rebecca because both would go to any lengths to protect their mothers, even when they’re wrong. It never mattered what the situation was, losing/hurting Manjari and Rebecca was never an option.

Like Manjari, Rebecca made a decision that would change the course of her childrens lives without consulting with her husband, the father of these children. Jack never knew who Randall’s biological father was.

With these similarities in mind, I’d be disappointed if Akshara apologies for the truth coming out. I know Manjari is going to turn against her (she already made the switch from Akshu to Akshara, and itv mothers cannot be trusted - still furious with Narmada from Imlie) and might emotionally blackmail her but this situation is not Akshara’s fault at all and she better know it! Just like she knows Sirats death was an accident, despite Aarohi’s baseless accusations. In This Is Us, Randall’s wife, Beth, learnt the truth before Randall and she immediately confronted Rebecca and said, either you tell him the truth or I will because I refuse to keep secrets from my husband. And she kept true to her word, she granted a small period of time for Rebecca to share before taking matters into her own hand. I’d love to see a similar scene between Akshara and Manjari or a scene where she tells Abhi the truth (any big truth), because a big part of the mehendi fiasco was miscommunication and Abhi believing she lied to him so we can have a strong parallel here!

You’re right about that lol I still don’t understand how this confusion happened. Neil is younger than Abhi - how could Manjari be pregnant with Neil without Harsh and Abhi noticing. I understand it they were around the same age and then a baby swap happened but this just goes over my head

this show is filled with pot holes 😆 unfortunately we all are stuck in one of them majority are because of abhira 😆 some because of yrkkh tag 😆 some may be because of harshad, pranali and karishma😆

Even though i do not follow english series as i hardly able to connect to them and i am very poor at remembering english names too. Was manjari's character in that movie had a ulterior motive ? But here manjari might be doing this to get harsh's attention.

Rebecca was supposed to have triplets but one of her children were stillborn, so she’d already lost one child and was terrified of losing another (Randall).

The debate of whether made the right choice or not was complicated, arguments can be made for both sides but at the end of the day, she did whatever she could to keep her family afloat so she was my no means a villain in my book. I skipped through most of YRKKH3 episodes so I don’t know what Manjari’s motives were but by what I’m hearing, it sounds like they weren’t looking out for the best interest of her children (Abhi and Neil).

Lets see they are yet to reveal manjari's motive it could be mahima's manipulations too where mahima asked her to hide this to save family's reputation.

Randall and Rebecca's bonding in the show was one of the purest bonds in the show. The makers executed that William track so beautifully like when Randall got to know I just couldn't hate Rebecca and also after that in the cabin Randall talking with Jack about Rebecca's stand was so beautiful. Jack and Rebecca loved Randall equally as their other children. Here Manjari never defended Neil whenever Harsh slapped or scolded him and here one person is busy blaming other person rather than owing up to their mistakes. When Harsh slapped Neil after AbRohi marriage drama, rather than saying anything to Harsh, Manjari kept saying 'Neil beta, tu anath nehi hain' as if listening this all of Neil's trauma that he has been getting from Harsh would get vanished. Here whatever reason they show I can't side with Manjari at all and in This is Us, I couldn't hate Rebecca at all. And she wanted forgiveness from Randall and she felt genuinely guilty. But here I don't think we will get any apologies from Manju's side. She will be shown as Mahan patni who brought home a child resulted from his husband's EMA. She will be glorified and Akshu (who has no connection in this mess) would be blamed in all this because that's where ITV's limits end. Rebecca and Jack never made Randall feel like he was adopted, he was loved unconditionally by them and here Neil is remembered that he is adopted in every convo with Harsh. I would be happy if they never showed Harsh is the father of Neil because now Harsh will love Neil because of his blood but till date he couldn't even give him a little bit of respect as a human which is disgusting imo. Family doesn't mean only blood ffs.

You're asking an Indian show to be logical and show reality of what relationships are made of? umm, that will never happen.😆

Indian shows do not like daughter in laws putting demand on MiL's ...how else will there be Saas bahu stuff happening?!...the wife has to be shown to be behind in things, the husband always having a go at the wife and putting the whole world ahead of her despite proclaiming loudly that he loves her to the moon and back. Of course, there are always exceptions to that said undying, dramatic love to but the poor wife never finds out until it is too late....

Just watch the show and throw expectations out of the window.😆...including sitting and bearing through illogical storylines...

I thought it's that abhi is manjiri-harsh son, but neil is harsh's son with another woman, and manjiri decided to adopt him but hid from harsh that he has another son? I don't think manjiri is neil's mother.
