Karishma Sawant as aarohi

I saw karishma's live where she said that she also auditioned for akshara's role but eventually got selected for aarohi becoz she suited aarohi's character more..

But honestly I don't think karishma is able to pull off aarohi's character at all..her expressions are literally everywhere..she has no command on her dialog delivery or her body language..

Aarohi is a complex character who can be good at times and can also be extremely mean and bitchy sometimes but karishma is neither able to pull off the goody goody aarohi nor she's able to pull off the bitchy aarohi..she looks extremely fake when she acts good with others that you think that aarohi is playing a game when she's not..and she looks really irritating when she's bitchy and jealous

Karishma's body language is also not proper..most of the time she's doing catwalk and it doesn't look good in scenes..for example in today's episode when aarohi enters birla hospital for a case..karishma is literally walking like a model and doing catwalk plus she also has that OTT attitude as if she's the queen who conquered the world when in reality she should've been nervous as she was fired from hospital becoz of hit and run case and that's something shameful for a medical intern..she just doesn't give the vibe of an intern..

Karishma clearly wanted to be paired opposite harshad..she said that iccha kund was a scam for aarohi as she didn't get abhimanyu ..but I'm thankful that aarohi wasn't paired with abhimanyu in the show because karishma can never match up to the level of Harshad's acting..atleast not now..she looks totally bland infront of Harshad's intensity..pranali might be baby faced but her expressions are on point specially in romantic scenes..akshara's shyness and nervousness when abhimanyu is around is perfectly portrayed by pranali and she also looks good in crying scenes..

I have nothing against karishma..she looks very calm and reserved offscreen and I understand she's a newcomer but as an actress she's gotta long way to go and needs lots of improvement..she's the biggest reason why I'm not able to connect to aarohi.

i completely agree she sure has a long way and her acting is not so according to arohhi's character

I have neither seen the live nor I follow her offscreen infact I don’t follow any actor/actress offscreen. All my judgments are based off characters and acting that I see onscreen.

My biggest complaint from beginning was I cannot understand what Aarohi is trying to say. And I wanted a monologue to understand her inner conflict. Because it’s really hard for me to understand Aarohi. She is a very complex character and the expressions actress portrays makes it very confusing.

I can't help but compare the character and acting to someone like Kavya from Anupama. Madalasa is playing a gray character just like Karishma. She is stylish and well dressed too compared to Anupama. If I am not wrong this is her TV debut as well. But her acting is what sets her apart from Karishma. She portrays Kavya's viewpoint however, right or wrong people might think they are to the point. Plus her delivers really good expressions (eye rolls or comedy dialogues) even in the background. She has good chemistry with every cast member. There is no fault in her performance of a nuanced gray character. Infact I look forward to her solo scenes or with other cast to hear her controversial viewpoints. I think DKP we're trying to model her after Kavya but they clearly failed in casting.

Both these roles are cast by the same production house and you see the difference of Zameen Asmaan in their performance. Half my irritation with Aarohi is and I am sorry to say with Karishma's face. I don't want to go against forum rules but the actor really riles up anger when I see her.

Her body language is a HUGE TURNOFF. Her dressing sense doesn't fit the character at all. Kavya is a 30 something established career woman vs Aarohi is a 20 new intern 🤷🏻‍♀️. They can't be dressed the same. She comes off as haughty queen bee in scenes she is portraying vulnerability and apprehension.

Her dialogue delivery is equally bad. Never consistent. It's slow when she is talking to herself but super fast when she is interacting with other characters (again WTF).

And don't get me started on her voice and crying face. OMG!!! Again I don't want to go against forum rules and I understand not everyone can be a pretty crier but my god she is BAD. Me and my friends can't even look at the screen or hear her screech when she does it onscreen. I know people back home who mute the TV when she comes onscreen to avoid ear damage (especially during mandir confrontation or fire truth confrontation). I know you can't change your face but she really needs to work on how to avoid looking and going OTT in those scenes (specially the lips).

Basically everything about the actor screams that she shouldn't be onscreen right now (especially around performers of so much better caliber) because she singlehandedly manages to bring the whole scene down.

Don't want to comment on her personal life especially whatever she does on IG (another red flag). I understand as a new comer you crave praise but what you also need at that stage is constructive criticism. Her single digit IG 🤡 stans keep making VMs and praising her character (stupid teenagers) and liking her outfits. And she keeps liking, sharing and indulging in that small well of praise.

I am actually worried for Karishma the actor at this rate.I don't think she is getting proper feedback from the creatives as well cuz i don't see her toning down anything. Her ss is gonna keep on getting reduced because

1. She is a side character and there are much better characters and story on birla side

2. TRP aunties hate her acting (we see the trend)

At this rate she might never end up improving and yeh Rishta will be some her out claim to fame just like the actor playing the annoying Ovi in Pavitra Rishta (if anyone has seen that)

But since you already mentioned about her face I can't help but agree to it..karishma's lip exercises are damn annoying to watch..I don't understand what she does 🙄..

Her OTT expressions and screeching while dialog delivery are cherry on the top of her already terrible acting..

The importance that aarohi gets in the show makes it even more unbearable to watch when a terrible actress like Karishma plays it..plus her fans leave no stone unturned to victimize aarohi's character by making sad vms on IG

Either the makers should reduce the importance of aarohi's character in the show or replace Karishma Sawant with a better actress.

Yes definitely don't want to break any forum rules and critique on her looks which are very beautiful btw.

But I voice modulation and facial nuances come under acting. People go to film school to get learn these. Also actors are very camera conscious people so they usually highlight their best features and try to tone down the annoying ones. TV is specifically a visual and audio medium. How you look and sound on screen really matters. Newbies like her are maybe confused by the difference between pretty vs charming on screen.

She looks pretty and acts like she knows it with her unnatural poses and ramp walk. Half the time she looks like she is posing on screen not acting.

Looking nice on the other hand being charming involves giving proper expressions, showing off your best features while hiding your worst, proper voice modulation and pitch. Nisha Nagpal aka Shefali and Priyal Shah aka Reem are good examples of these. Shefali gives proper expressions even in the scenes she isn't in focus. Reem too is a newbie who doesn't overdo.

I really really hope she learns something from this show and wish her best for future endeavors. However, in the state she currently is and has been for the last 6+ months, we the viewers are in for a painful ride in this show.

Yaar I’m not a fan of Aarohi or Karishma, but just stating what I feel.

if KS or any other person in her role started acting wonderfully in the show, don’t you think Abhira’s craze would have not been where it is now?? Because Aarohi is a grey character, and if it’s being portrayed exactly how it should be, then Akshara’s character might have faded away long back, and Abhira would have been just like a normal lead couple as in the other shows. KS have a potential to act, she did well in that mandir scene during Akshara’s confession. Many of the Abhira fans too praised her in this forum. It’s just that she has been sidelined and not getting good scenes where she can show off her acting skills. Because this show is all about “Abhira”. But I still agree she should improve a lot in terms of her expressions.

Sorry but i won't be able to handle akshara needing aarohi to support her where it's always been akshara who is the stronger person to support aarohi. Akshara doesn't need anyone else to take stand for her.. she is perfectly capable

And Aarohi's whitewashing doesn't make sense as she was selfish since day 1 and such people don't change to this extent.. read my new post...i seriously hate aarohi now...her being a doctor is ruining Akshara's life even since the season started. 🤢

I hope Neel doesn't marry aarohi out of love and they have a forced marriage and pr papa gets a taste of what kind of bahu aarohi is. 🤡
