My favourite part of this wedding is the grooms entry! Firstly, Abhimanyu looks so happy and free (the stiffness, which was characteristic of his demeanour and attitude toward of life, is gone and it’s a beautiful thing to see that evolution because of love). More importantly, for me, is Pranali’s acting. When she was dancing inside, all alone, she was radiating pure joy. We’ve seen a lot of brides on itv, and usually we see them blush or get emotional on their wedding day but like her mom, Naira, we see Akshu exude happiness and excitement and it’s perfect. It was real and heart touching to see Akshu dancing and I love how Pranalo is executing those scenes. The transitions she makes between emotional - because she’s leaving her maayka -, anxious - because she’s going to a new home-, excited - it’s her wedding-, and at peace - because she’s getting married to Abhimanyu -, is effortless. In my opinion, Pranali is perfect for the role of Akshu as she takes elements of Akshara 1 and Naira, and uses them to enhance Akshu’s individual and unique personality.
Akshu’s jodaa is stunning! I’d be crying if I lost my jodaa too just because your wedding gown hits different than other outfits. I’m obsessed with these Jaipur looks and the jodaa is just the cherry on top! Though I could do without the #AbhiKiAkshu. I’m in the minority for that opinion but it’s fine 😂 if I was in her place, I might write “Akshara Goenka-Birla instead which would be the merging of her two lives.
Kaira’s photo being shown during the pheras and given to Akshu as a gift was such a precious moment. It’s so beautiful to see Akshu carrying her parents with her, every step of the way. Reminds me of Ranbir carrying young Rishi Kapoor’s photo in his wedding (cried when I saw that pic from the ranlia wedding).
Akshu singing OG Akshara’s song, mera sansaar haye! They might not talk about Akshu’s Nani but they include her in these small but potent gestures and I adore these scenes when they tie generations together to create that legacy.
The Goenkas group hug with everyone getting emotional was a sweet moment too.
And then there’s my Kaishu being straight up goals - teasing each other and caring for each other like always. They are such a cute sibling pair and the nurturing energy between the two is wonderful to share. They’re always the first to rush to each other’s defence and the first to comfort the other in a time of need.
