My opinion differs from yours and let's agree to have different opinions.

Abhi was straightforwardhappy go-lucky guy who gives a hoot to his family memebrs other than the brother and mother.

When he proposed marraige for akshara he never thought she is a docile and shy person. Because they had healthy arguments over the gharelu nuskas and all, but in personal matters akshara turned out to be a totally different character to what she is in other worldly matters.

The rejection by akshara in front of abhi's family was definitely difficult for him to digest and not just that akshara involvement in his birthday celebrations and Ruby kaand only made matters complicated for his understanding.

Men can accept anything but lack of clarity, which akshara has provided abhi in ample amounts.

Then Arohi track began only upon his mother's insistence and he never liked arohi because she lacks no values and she had lot of similarities to PB. The person abhi loathes the most.

Finally abhi was torn between his heart and mother. Because to him he never wanted to be the reason for his mother's illness as he's emotionally dependant on her.

He tried several times to invoke the inner feelings of akshara for him but she's stubborn to not let the cat out of the bag, until his life is at risk also only when she got the clarity that theres no love for abhimanyu from Arohi's end.

It's just the progression of emotions between abhira and destiny playing its part.

I'd say its just 2 people trying to compromise their love and finally uniting when living away from each other gets impossible due to destiny's game.

Agreed with you. Akshara loved him selflessly despite her rejections. He should have understood why she is rejecting when she was okay with his gestures in the trip and he knew the reason also somewhat. If we truly love someone, we let them go. Loving someone doesn't mean owning then. He indirectly disrespected akshara and their love and after marriage his aarohi, akshara would have definitely been hurt more seeing her with abhimanyu.

One day his mom would ask him to make babies too with Aarohi, he would do that too for maa ki khushi.😂😂😂

For me, Abhimanyu's character got butchered the day he went to Akshara's family to ask for her haath in marriage without even asking her if she wants to marry him or not. Agreed he was confident that she loves him but love and marriage are two different things. At least he could have proposed to her before taking this step of going to her family. I found his act so primitive. Ladki pasand aa gayi toh usko pooche bina uske family ke paas jao shaadi ki baat karne. How outdated! When Kairav asked Abhimanyu who does he want to marry and he gave a very rude answer that embarrassed Kairav.

After Tilak 1.0 happened, he still didn't learn from his mistake. Again he was overconfident and straightaway took Akshara to his family and asked her to tell his family she loves him. That was another impulsive and immatured step from his side and I don't blame Akshara for lying because at that time she chose her family's reputation over Abhimanyu.

For Abrohi marriage fiasco I blame both Manjari and Abhimanyu. How can Manjari even expect Abhimanyu to marry the sister of a girl he loves? At least she could have given him some time to move on from Akshara. Even if she misunderstood Aarohi in the Ruby kaand and fire incident kaand marriage is not something that should be taken in a hurry. Because Manjari didn't give him time, Abhimanyu took the impulsive decision to marry Aarohi not just to fulfill her wish but also to teach Akshara a lesson for rejecting him. He chose this marriage as a way to hurt Akshara and that's what he did in all the rasams due to which he looked more like a villain than a hero. I don't want to write anything more because we have already discussed in this forum umpteen times whose mistakes were more and whose less.

This is exactly why today Abhimanyu is the first anti hero of Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai.

Why do some viewers hate the character. The reasons are listed below.

Love at first sight can be beautiful too. There is a method and way of conducting yourself in front of others. Why is Abhimanyu getting all the brickbats ? because he first does the kaand and fails to acknowledge. His intentions are genuine, no doubt about it..He is a replica of his father..The conduct is wrong.

Is he flawed, if yes to what extent.

The sympathy and empathy showered on Jharu is because of Dr. Abhimanyu Birla. He got everything wrong in the first place. That girl's toxic behaviour towards her sister got wiped away by his attitude.

After the fiasco. Both Abhimanyu and Akshara acted as if nothing has taken place.More brownie points to Aarohi. As a couple they are not well connected with a certain section of the audience who empathise with rejection.

BUT..ironically abhimanyu did everything correctly when he decided to marry aarohi..first he spoke to aarohi and took her approval and then went to the goenkas with his entire family and clearly called out aarohi's name and made it clear that he was there to ask for her alliance..IF ONLY ABHIMANYU USED THIS MUCH BRAINS FOR THE FIRST TIME WHEN HE HAD COME FOR AKSHARA THOSE PROBLEMS WOULDN'T HAVE HAPPENED🙄🙄

After Tilak 1.0..it was impossible for akshara to accept abhimanyu because aarohi was her sister and she was badly rejected and humiliated plus both the families were also not on good terms so she decided to reject abhimanyu and move on..

And yes abhimanyu DID NOT propose aarohi for his mother solely..that decision was taken after akshara's final rejection in the park..abhimanyu was triggered by akshara's clear cut rejection infront of kairav and hence decided to take revenge from her by hurting her ..that is why he personally called akshara and informed her about his wedding with aarohi..

Abhimanyu was really petty..just because he didn't get what he wanted from akshara he went on a complete revenge mode..and also asked her to quit the job offered by mahima..

BUT see now ...abhimanyu fulfills akshara's every wish..he is ready to give her the entire world if she asks BECAUSE NOW SHE'S HIS..His love is obsessive

So many discussions on this topic already..I wish this aru abhi track was never there coz abhimanyu as a hero lost his credibility . Akshu aru were equal culprits ..akshu through her silence and lies , aru trying to manipulate n lie to achieve her goal ...if akshu rejected him, and manjari is sick, he can't marry someone just for his mom's happiness..try to buy some time , do something to convince her rather than proposing a loveless marriage .

Frankly I have less hopes from abhimanyu that he will turn into a mature sorted character post marriage ..hopes from akshu were never there coz she is blindly in love with aru and family . But akshu is the only reason I like to watch yrkkh now , coz of her radiant smile and cuteness ..I am kinda , over abhimanyu unless he does something really great.

Of all the things he did , I won't blame him for this one . He didn't decide to marry aru, he decided to marry the girl of his mother's choice . here manjari was the culprit who believed aru's lies abt the fire incident plus her husband insisted on aru ..n aru is the karta dharta of that particular twist as she made manjari believe that she cares for abhimanyu (when she gives two hoots) .

Also I won't blame abhimanyu for not guessing if akshu is lying and why. Nobody could have known. When her own family didn't, how will abhi make the right guesses ? One can't blame someone for their dumbness . Clarity is required between husband wife also which is possible only through communication and honesty.

His love for Akshara is so pure and intense, but the way he deals the other relationships is not right. And again Abhimanyu is like that, his love and hatred is extremely toxic. Hope to see his character growth in the coming episodes.

Proposing marriage to Aarohi, going around and torturing Akshara and after the confession, leaving Aarohi at the mandap has degraded his character.
