That fellow is downright crazy. He is not a doctor but has an attitude as if he owns the hospital and its foundation is coz of him. He argues with everyone who opposes him. He demeans his Bhabhi who is a practicing doctor.

He is never polite with his wife but his life is completely dependent on her. His son ML Abhimanyu cant stand his father's MCP behaviour.

And the way he treats Akshara and her BP is just so cringe.

And even on that a section of audience blame Abhi that he does not know how to behave.

What kind of people are watching this serial. Please drop in a line and lets discuss why you are ready to dislike Abhimanyu but you are okay how PRUncle treats the women in his life?

How is he comical and why does that make is behaviour okay?

Honestly, I feel like giving up on this discussion topic cause I’ve tried too and seen so many people point out the same but we get nowhere. It’s just a battle of extreme Abhi haters vs extreme Aarohi haters.

Most people online easily forgive Harsh and enjoy his scenes but can’t give an ounce of the same benefit of the doubt to Aarohi (whose done the same actions as him) or Abhi who hasn’t crossed those lines yet (his methods of toxicity are diff).

What most people have told me is that the actor, Vinay Jain, portrays it so well that people are captivated by his performance whereas Harshad is the lead so if the hero’s characteristics are like this, the messaging of the show is wrong or they just hate his baby voice for Akshu and the age gap. Likewise, Karishma is new and they only find her acting convincing in her negative scenes so that’s the only scenes they consider when making a judgement.

They give him funny dialogues to make him likeable that even netrual audience who don't watch the show are liking him base on clips and doesn't know about his character in the show.

Yes, Harsh Birla is an abuser and I think Arohi has more in common with him Imao that Abhimanyu.

Both Aarohi and Harsh are egoistic

Both loves to blame Akshara for everything that happens

Both of them are bully and abuser

That behaviour of Harsh is not ok. I don't think anyone said it was ok.

He is a misogynistic and will always will be. He is an abuser no two ways about it.

All the above does not take away the fact he is also comical. Abuser's are human and have many facets to them. The writers are trying to show that he shows one face to the world and another to his family and another to random people - just like real life people. Writers too have an obligation to show their characters fully formed, even the worst ones.

You can laugh but it doesn't mean you approve of him. Or find his abusive behaviour ok.

Abusers can be drug dealers or a person of high standing in society or a wealthy business man but they can all scream and shout at their wives behind closed doors and none will be the wiser.

So that scene of him today, stealing candy from his wife, actually made me think of school bully who snatch food/sweets/money from the weaker ones. I was nodding my head, yeah that is how he started. But I did laugh at the expression on his face when he ate them - just for the expression.

When we laugh at a despicable character's action on the tv, we are in fact honouring the actor playing that character. He was working hard to show us the different sides, making it relatable. When you meet an abuser in real life it's not written in their forehead. You may like them, admire them, laugh at their jokes. Someone else who knows the truth may come up and ask 'how can you like them'? you give your reason based on the face they show to you. When you learn the truth, first there is denial, then you think over every interaction hoping to see signs and maybe then you accept the truth or you don't.

I have faced abusers in real life due to my first career - some are awful, you see them for what they are instantly and others you don't, you actually even question the person who is making the claim because all your investigations are showing them to be a good person. The second also happened to me, a man who was so lovely to his ill wife yet claims of abuse are constantly made. Nothing proved this not even his children until one late afternoon he stood in my office, had to be held back by security because he lost his shit and his mask in front of me. That was the only time I saw his true reality and not even through the subsequent legal proceedings did he once lose his mask again. That's how good some of them are.

I don't dislike Abhi, in fact I like him. He has been shown to us in all warts and glory so we know him very well and there are times we may not like his behaviour, but we understand it given what we had seen of him.

I know man! Abhi can do no right according to some people. Thak gayi aur pak gayi sun sun ke ki Abhi is maha toxic.

I don't find harsh right but he does make me chuckle. I think it's because of the actor more than anything. His dialogue delivery is on a different level to other supporting cast. I think people love to hate him, lets put it that way.

Certain actors add a whole new jaan to a character and that's what happened here.

To put it into simple words... Harsh is a domestic abuser... there's nothing nice/funny about that.... and when you find the answer to why many hate Abhi please let me know as well... it's like the man breathes and its a crime... Abhi has flaws just like every other human being... but his core...his heart and soul is pure... there's nothing to hate there...only love for Abhi...

My most favourite scene was -

When Abhi and Birlas brought Manjari in wheel chair during her sickness to Akshu’s music session therapy

When Papa Birla was brutally abusing her and throwing money on her

She gracefully gave back to him that he does not know how to respect women and kala

I am hoping Akshu will stand against his bullies
