Likewise season 2 was nothing in comparison to season 1, nothing is going to be the same.

Even I feel that apart from Harsh and Abhira, the characters aren't as strong in gen 3 especially if I compare to season 1 where each family member was bomb. Akshara's dadi, mum, dad, dada ji, bahbhi maa, gayatri and even the servants dhanya etc were class apart.

Having said that, I am actually enjoying the last couple of episodes. I dont know if the trp audience will accept this simplicity but I am appreciating the beautiful scenes with minimal drama. If I compare with other shows, yrkkh is so pure and different even today.

Definitely all have their own views...............and as I said i have stopped watching episodes from last few days...............Agree to you completely that each character in season 1 was strong.........each and every one in the show had good & strong part to play

Why are fans still hopeful about S1 and S2 vibes. Isn't S3 an adaptation of Ichche Nodee.

In the last 10 to 12 yrs has Star asked Rajan to copy a bong OG.

When a character is established, a certain depth is acquired. Audiences connect with fiction.

Otherwise to keep the show moving the creatives have to bring drama.

You can have a look at GHKKPM and Imlie. One is 100% copy and paste and other is very much dependant on all regional versions. Gul changed the track completely after 300 epis because Gashmeer wanted to quit.

Yrkkh is falling flat because when the writers try to bring the vibes back with plain and simple episodes, the matter becomes boring

Another reason is that Goenka's have become a mix of Singhania and Maheshwari's.

The entire Goenka clan have ignored their granchildren's mental health which led to dysfunctional behaviour. As of now the writers are trying to white wash them. We are watching The redemption of the Goenka's. Akhilesh is a monk. Mimi has no dialogues and Manish has no ego left.

It does not fit well.

Aarohi herself is stripped out of her meanness. As a viewer I expected to be very bitter. A tussle between the sister is expected after the turn of events. The writers could have written a entire track but no they brought Aneesha instead.

What to do when the writing is so shallow.

I feel like people don’t recognize that enough. Season two tracks weren’t like season 1. In season 1, Naksh maintained unity (at least in name and divorce was never a real threat) whereas Kaira loveD separations. Season 1 and 2 ran for (approximately) the same amount of duration and yet those differences in plot remained. It wasn’t just about longevity.

I feel season 1 was absolutely pure, they thrived on minimalism. Of course the budget was huge but the storyline was kept simply and sweet and that combo worked.

I do feel season 2 deserves credit as it's not easy to run a show for 5 years but I could never watch it as i felt it had lost the simplicity of season 1. It just felt too chaotic. Agreed season 3 is also dramatic but the recent episodes are gem.

Imo season 1 had good cast, good story and good budget.

Season 2 and 3 are being watched mainly for the main leads.

Season 2, specifically Kaira/Shivin, ruled hearts in a way that wasn't deemed possible considering the show was about to be shut down before their entry. I'll never forget the star parivaar awards where Karan Patel was hosting and jesting about how Shivin, a bunch of kids, crushed everyone else's shows on the charts and jodis. If I remember correctly, it was probably a 2016 or 2017 show cause the Jodi was fairly new.

Likewise, Shivin's brand value increased tremendously. Even with their ratings falling in 2021, Shivin is in such high demand. Since he quit, Mohsin's been coming out with music videos left and right - it's amazing.

I never said the lead pair were bad, in fact I think season 2 survived mostly due to them. I just felt the essence of yrkkh was lost as they started coming out with absolutely haywire tracks. My friend would still watch the show hence I kept hearing about it.

The ratings are a different issue. Yrkkh was only ever number 1 or 2 when there is a wedding track and this goes back to even season 1 days. The speciality of yrkkh is that it has always maintained its position in top 5. Shows come and go but yrkk always stays in that list.

For example, they adopted Krishna and then she was never seen again. Likewise, their first daughter who was confirmed to be alive was never found and they dropped the search for her. My friend would still watch the show hence I kept hearing about it.

OH I'm so sorry, my post was not meant to be in disagreement with or a criticism of yours. I wrote it with the intent of adding onto your point of giving credit to season 2 cast. I AM SO SORRY IT CAME OUT THAT WAY.

Arre dont worry. I didnt mean it that way either.

At the end of the day, I think we can all agree that the main leads deserve credit for keeping the hype of the show alive.

I was thinking which bro and sis ask each other for a kiss like that 😆

The track was ruined ever since they introduced anisha. It was rushed and random but thankfully the recent episodes are back to normal.
