Harsh, Neil, Mahima, and the Harsh-Manjari-Abhi(-sometimesNeil) triangle are what I'm excited for the writers to explore.

Reposting this from another thread cause I'd love to hear your thoughts:

Why are people more willing to forgive and accept Harsh than Aarohi?

Everyone says Aarohi shouldn't be forgiven because she lied and deceived everyone but Harsh does that all the time. Moreover, he was complicit in her lies about the fire. People also argue that Aarohi has been mentally, and now physically (manhandling her at the temple scene), harassing Akshu but so has Harsh. We've seen his verbal harassment towards Manjari and we know he's capable (probably has to) of physical violence.

I know Harsh cares for his son, it's evident. But, Aarohi isn't heartless either. She cares for Manish and has valid trauma of her own. It doesn't excuse her behaviour but that just means Harsh's care shouldn't excuse his either.

Is it because Harsh is a man and its easier to forgive men in our society and we uphold them to different standards? Is it because Vinay is a FANTASTIC ACTOR and plays the shades of Harsh brilliantly (he is a fantastic actor, I adored his earlier performances in shows like Jassi jaisi koi nahi)? Are the writers doing a better job at his characterization (my guess cause his dialogues are so much better than Aarohi's)? Or is it something else entirely?

Accordinng to me the main reason for this prefereance of Harsh is beacuse of the actor's skills in potraying emotions. Completelty personal opinion, in scenes where Aarohi is concerened about Akshu fake even if it was real, but with Harsh's character its always a complete shift.

He's the only character apart from Neil who's consistent with his behaviour.. he never pretends to be nice and that's what makes him different. See how Abhi has got this honesty and straightforward ways from his father..

If abhi goes to vanvas he will get heart attack i feel.

I used to think he probably is physically abusive towards his wife, certainly hea verbally abusive but I wish they explore Harsh Manjari abhi pasts. But the makers are so uncertain won't be surprised if they don't so please someone write a story 😂

Speaking for myself, I've enjoyed Aarohi’s character as much as Papa Birla if not more. Aarohi is a very interesting character and I love the shades to her- she’s a go getter, knows exactly what she wants and goes after it. She believes in nothing ventured, nothing gained - she boldly goes after what she wants. I find her character very interesting and more believable than Ak ( frankly). Her trauma with Sirat being second best is very relatable but has not been explored to the fullest extent in show yet. I think once the makers turn their attention to her and flesh out her insecurities a bit more, you will see audience adore her. Several times it is shown she cares about Akshara, MG but she flips between the dark side and the good side constantly. Her time will come!

Papa Birla’s insecurities w.r.t Abhi are out in the open he makes no attempt to hide it and that it is endearing. And at the moment his helpless one liners are entertaining and fun.

But I don’t like the monster he is to Neil and Manjari. I recall how mean he was to Neil when he was sending him off to some village. He is derisive, emotionally and verbally abusive to Manjari. If MG saw that he’d never send Ak to BH. I haven’t forgotten this.

I don’t think the gender of the character matters. I don’t find one appealing more/ less just because of the gender.

I meant, generally speaking, there is greater support for Harsh than there is Aarohi. I feel bad for Karishma as an actress cause she was promised a lead role with her being in the montage (a feat rarely given to parallel jodis like Keesh or Varsha and her husband), yet we barely investigate into that character. We see glimpses of her plotlines, like Neil, but it's just a glimpse that I'm afraid won't be explored much.

I feel very similar about Aarohi's character.

I agree she is grey and that is what I like about aarohi, Both PB and Aaru are both equally grey and so is mahima but aarohi is more selfish when compared to PB or mahima, PB and Mahima both have their insecurities for eg PB comes from a family of doctors but he never became one and is continuously shown down by his bhabhi while mahima who has worked her ass off never gets any credit for the same from her husband. When compared to them aarohi has never had any struggle but she has always played her victim card to get things done and used people for their purpose. All said and done but that is what makes the story interesting

This show runs very long typically so I’m hoping they will explore Aarohi more - it will be beautiful to watch her story unfold. I think if Neil is the one for her they must build his story simultaneously too - I want jugaadu Neil to be spectacularly successful with seed money that Abhi puts in. I’m really hoping instead of divorces and remarriages they are able to weave a few more stories in there with the parallel leads.

I was thinking about the gender thing and I think maybe I spoke too soon. At the moment Harsh is shown to be manipulative, verbally abusive to his wife and son. Like he ridicules her, and is rude and dismissive. But if they even hint at him being physically abusive I will flip over to hating him ferociously.

exactly my thoughts, they should show a modern day couple who balance life and work, also parallel tracks like S1 had they explored varsha equally also nandini and mohits life too something like that would be good
