Well the only similarity is two sisters, younger one is coy, submissive girl and singer, elder a topper, treats the younger one as doormat, they meet a doctor on a trip to icche modi, he falls in love with singer, one wrong no., elder knows the reality, creates misunderstanding, boy confesses on engagement day, singer refuses for sake of her sister. Elder gets engaged to doctor, more misunderstandings between leads.. singer falls ill...hero looks after...misunderstanding gets cleared on haldi day.. hero exposes the elder and proposes singer, she accepts.. after lil suicide drama of elder.. leads get married.. later elder gets married to hero's elder brother only to trouble the leads. Initial episodes are shot at a rural place. Ichhe nodee has no dramatics, no shouting, no family drama..narrative is very simple with stories of other characters too.. it has only a partial mother and manipulative sister.....and a very handsome hero...

I have seen many Kabir Singhs in my professional and few in personal life too and they are scary... they claim to be madly in love but very inconsistent when comes to trusting their partners, making their family life hell. Hope this kaabil doctor doesn't get to this point... Harshad is a great actor, I don't want to see him play an obsessed mad man...

I have a different view here, and having gone thru this sort of obsession from someone, Also, am a tomboy, so, have had many of my men pals come and give their side and hence i know some of the other side too.

So a guy in love and insecured, does not necessarily mean that he is obsessed..

If i look at ABhi, he is insecured that she will leave him in case family issue arises.

For that matter, if BP had gotten the heart attack on VD, Akshu would not have stood up to BP,

She is only doing that, considering her family is in no danger. the moment something goes wrong, she takes it all on herself, indirectly making Abhi feel guilty

he never had issues with her loving her family,

his only desire is love me as much if not more.

when she was talking about the love, family, BP etc, she clearaly compartmentalise the two... ABhi different and her family different, two separate duniya

where Abhi always maintained, meri ek hi duniya hai, jisme dono family hai

when he says his action will be to get Akshu, he does not mean he wont operate, he wont e a doctor,

he has been that throughout his life, prioritising them, now he is prioritising his love life, himself and i don't think thats wrong.. he is not stalking her, nor forcing her for anything.

he just wants her in life, coz that is his security net, for his sanity and once she is tied to him, he knows she wont see leaving him as an escape route

I am sure many may not agree with my views, but.. Main to main hoon

He got her to confess as he always felt that akshu loves him too, but won't own it. He felt blessed to have her and now like every lover is insecure... my point is why can't he trust her as she has always stood up to her family for the sake of their love... that very line shook me to core when he said I'll spend every moment of my life to make sure akshu doesn't leave... if he's so insecure now, he'll always be even after marriage... he loves her so much, though not rare but it is exceptional.. he can make sure by loving and caring for her more so she doesn't feels obligated to be with him, but has the same affection and more for life... after all their love was never one-sided and she suffered more as she hid her feeling for Abhi and almost lost the affection of her dear sister.. Entire Goenaka family was against her decision but she stood her ground, putting her relations at stake.. that vulnerable girl had many reasons to back out but she never did. They have found each other after near impossible situations. Now she is so sure that Abhi will never leave him, why is he not sure about his akshu... insecurities make the very base of relationships weak.. I am tired to see our hero cry and I want that strong confident Abhimanyu back, who got his akshu on his side, eventually..

Again, we are just looking at that one statement. we are all taking it literally; if that was the case, he would have called Akshu multiple times, met her, called her home etc etc.

what i interpret is that he will encash every opportunity, create opportunities and not let anyone ever be able to raise a finger against him as being unsuitable

On point of Akshu Standing up for him... he is aware that she loves him, he is insecured of the love she has for her family, she has done that in the past and he knows if required, she will do that again..she herself said in so many words, i would rather not have the love.

for her family is topmost, not love, and Abhi is the love here....

Although u gave me the biggest happiness, BUT.. i have another family... Yaar, just hear the sound of the word.... its depressing and its scary. even in the BTS she says, nai chahiye aisa pyaar jo parivaar alag kar de... she will give up.. as for her its her pain... and she will live

Abhi knows he will be scattered. As she is the one that makes his life worth living and not just existing

So i am very fine with him taking stand for his life 🤗
