Aarohi ~ The daughter who was never good enough

I had said it in a post long back, when only a couple post leap episodes were out. I see scope, I see so much in Aarohi's character. She was the grey FL I could have only hoped to see on ITV. However, I had also known that it will all come tumbling down when she would be made a vamp.

I left the show soon after knowing exactly where her character would end up. Karishma Sawant has done and continues to do a fabulous job as Aarohi. I saw this clip and just had to post it!

It is a shame that such a strong character is not utilised... but I didn't expect anything better.

I hate all characters in this show with strong shiddat!!

even sad that i ever watched it and expected something at some point in time.

Only the mask festival episodes were worth my time that too selectively.

I think there will be more to Arohi… there’s many of us who I prefer her to akshara…because really whats so wonderful about akshara,.she just has her grandmothers name who was the heroine of season 1..Akshara is such a boring character..and I think there will be a love story for Arohi..I actually only watch the show for Arohi and papa birla…the lead couple bore me..so I fast forward their scenes..I like kairav but they don’t give him much to do.. ETA: i totally hate that she was made insensitive to the this point only to serve the villian in abhiRa love track and highlight mahaanta of akshara....

makers haven't seen what an independent/ambitious/intelligent woman is actually like...

To be honest, I was willing to give some benefit of doubt to Akshara. I mean her character had scope for more complexity. But she was made into this one dimensional goody two shoes who has no personality whatsoever.

Abhimanyu was an interesting character when the season started and I thought we get to explore him but they butchered him like anything. He is becoming as one dimensional as Akshara now.

Where Aarohi's character is more consistent and her passion and ambition still strong. I really hope she is not planning and plotting behind what we are seeing right now. Anyhow I like the Aarohi I am seeing in the last few episodes and she comes across as this practical, driven, young girl who had a misstep because of her immaturity and stupidity but now correcting her ways. And that is growth.

Whereas in Abhimanyu is going through something that has to be titled "The Curious Case of Abhimanyu Birla" where he is on a journey to a 5 year old from a sorted out, mature man. Probably it is required to attain the soul wala pyar of the 5 year old kid with ADHD who is also a banshee. The sacrifices one has to make. 🤣

Akshu and jija ji are a joint entity now and if we remove either one from the equation there's no identity for the remaining person. For example, as a standalone what is Akshu? Who is Akshu? Her whole essence in this 2.0 avatar is about Abhimanyu and vice versa. Even the joint entity is so plain, dry, dull and boring.

agree... the downward graph in abhi's char after the medical camp is just laughable...

the way he was ready to consider arohi so soon, just because his mom said... well like you said reaching the sacrificial level of his soul-mate

then, all that you have to see my marriage with arohi thing 🤢

(i'm not sure what exactly happened here just know it was along these lines)

i immediately wrote off all respect i had for him initially for standing up to his father for his mom (even that is shady because no matter what father title demands certain boundaries in actions even if you do not love/respect him)
