Gonenka's are the definiton of double standard.

I've been wanting to write this on the Goenka's for so long... but i don't think even now I've done justice to what I think of them. I'm not done venting yet... lets leave it at that and here is what I was able to put into words for now.

The Goenkas's are the most despicable double standard parivaar in the history of ITV(my personal opinion).They are selective in their thoughts on what ruins their family's izzat, and here are some samples.

I've only watch here and there snippets of s2 of yrkkh and what I found was that for the Goenka's family izzat wasn't an issue when AG's daughter was the cause of OG Akshara's death, when she became pregnant before marriage with her finace. AG's sons were accused in molestation case and AG himself had an affair with a much younger woman of Naira's age. The Goenka's also didn't have a problem with family izzat when their son was found to be a drug addict and also died from overdosing. They didn't care about the izzat when their son Kartik doubted Naira's character and assumed she was having an affair.

The Goenka's love complaining about Abhi and how his relationship is with his father, how he's trying to two time both the Goenka girls, but completely decided to forget about when Karthik wasn't speaking to Manish until Naira came and solved the issues, or about Mimi (in her supposed death bed) forcefully asking Karthik to marry Vedika when Naira was presumed dead, and he did marry her and then when Naira showed up they got him to divorce her...but if Abhi says he loves one sister and accepts a marriage proposal for his mothers health and lets the girl and her family know that it will only be a marriage of convenience not love, and calls it off when he realizes that three lives are going to be ruined and he cant go ahead with this anymore and also apologizes to the girl( who hardly needed that apology cause she was at most fault in that situation) and her family, he is considered as a womanizer...

The Goenkas's have an issue with Akshu expressing her feelings for once and call it ruining the family izzat, but when Arohi accepts Abhi's proposal without speaking to any of the elders they just tell her no and agree to her after 10 minutes (lets not forget AG and Arohi went behind everyones back and accepted the proposal, family izzat wasnt an issue than).

P.S. Don't get me started on how they've neglected Akshu and her feelings, even before all this Shaadi getting called off...

P.P.S. sorry if i'm all over the place in my thoughts.. but I've come to my exploding point with their behaviour towards Akshu and Abhi that now I'm just ranting I think.

Goenkas should have controlled Aarohi from the very beginning. After Sirats accident how did they even let Akshara go to another city for 3 years. Can't they explain her that it was just an accident. Manish loved Naira and not Sirat. But now how his love for Aarohi is more than Akshara. He should have slapped her when first time only she misbehaved with her elder sister. They are responsible for all this mess.

I so understand your feelings. Goenkas make me so mad, I can't. I had also gone on a rant about them xD

The thing is, even though I try to see their side, I'm unable to comprehend it. You have to look after three kids whose parents are no more, and hence you've to make sure that you never show any favouritism for anyone. Agreed. Very logical. A lot of families I personally know work like this. Most of us have siblings and our parents have always tried to be equal with everyone.

These Goenkas, however take it to a whole new level. They now have one kid who just shouts and shouts, one who just sacrifices and one who's just so torn between his sisters and family and what not, so stays quiet.

Loved your analysis and I hope they show some goodness of Goenkas later. Till then, we can rant and discuss and pray that the writers see these posts and bring some changes xD

I pointed out yesterday that it was quite so rich of Manish to even say that Abhi doesn't talk to his father properly. Has Manish forgotten that Kartik didn't even talk to him and spoke only to AG and chachi for years until Naira fixed their issues.

Has Manish forgotten that Swarna hid their son from him?

Has Manish forgotten the problems that dadi aka Mimi caused between Kaira? The way she wanted Naira to change her name? Then called Kartik a jodu ka ghulam and tried to separate Kaira. Manish even then was like "ek beta hai jo apne sasural jaake beth gaya hai"

Swarna blamed Naira for her son's death and caused the first Kaira divorce.

AG tried to hide the first Akshara's death; at one point I thought he would let Kartik stay in jail and take the blame. His kids were no less spoilt ..his twins went to jail for molestation.

Did Kartik really leave his kids with the right people? Did the Goenkas even learn from their mistakes?

Kairav was very quick to blame his mother as a child. His parents lived separately because he got upset when his mother tried to discipline him. He was a brat.

Aarohi, the less said the better. AG didn't learn from his previous errors I guess.

The only person in this family who I feel bad for is Akshu.

I never liked them , I've always said that goenkas r badtameez ghatiya family .Manish really can't claim a moral high ground when he was so unfair to all his children . He had issues with kartik for the longest time, his wife hid their biological child (another tyageshwari) who turned out to be a drug addict n he died n she blamed everything on naira . Kartik naira divorced bec of this drama . Mimi was so desperate to get kartik married after naira was presumed dead , just so that she can see the faces of her great grand children .

AG ki toh baat hi mat karo. Mimi toh sabse zyada ghatiya thi. Swarna lost her mind in shubhams track otherwise she was ok..

I don't find it surprising , the way they brought up arohi. Is bewakoof kairav ko dekho..he knew everything yet he never addressed theissue between his sisters. Both him and akshu just want to make arohi happy .

Compared to goenkas , singhanias and maheshwaris were gold. Even birlas r better than them. They are dysfunctional but only bec of harsh. Rest everyone is sane , even if they are selfish. I always noticed that their discussions are very logical.there is mahima who speaks her mind and puts harsh in place. Same with Anand. There is Neil, parth, shefali , abhimanyu, who r young Gen ..each has their own problems but they are standing with each other not against . Manjari is holding the family together . She looks weak but she isn't.

Why arohi doesn't call akshu didi and how a family can fix the marriage of younger sister first considering they are highly worried about reputation in society

Manish and Goenkas are the biggest hypocrites in the world.

I'm just glad Akshara is firm in her decision of being with Abhi, baaki Abhi will sort out. Idc

They show their double standards... They spoiled Aarohi and their izzat ka dhong these days 😆

Right now he needs time if Manish took same time for accepting Abhi Aarohi rishta all would have been saved from the mess. At some point they prioritize Aarohi in everything and when it comes to Akshu situation become worse for them.
