An Open Letter To Dr Abhimanyu Birla
Mon Amour,
Your wedding is just round the corner and you, instead of enjoying the festivities are in continuous pain. Though you are getting married to Arohi, your body, mind, heart and soul belongs to one and only Akshara. Your Akshu.
Akshu, who mercilessly rejected your love, yet made it sure that she was around you 24*7 making it hard, nay, impossible for you to escape from her memories and soothe your burning and broken heart.
You know it so well that Akshu loves you, it was evident from her actions - even the smallest of them. In spite of it, you were faced with her rejection, harsh and rude and still you continued to love her with every fiber of your being.
You pushed and prodded her to accept her love, to accept you and she, mercilessly kept pushing you towards her sister. Without any fault of yours, you were caught up in this unnecessary love triangle which never was a triangle to even begin with.
Your love story had always been a straight line - you loved Akshara and Akshara loved you. Period. And yet, you continued to bear the pain and brunt of her rejection.
And finally, pressed from all sides, faced with an insensitive mother and a selfish father, you decided to marry Arohi. Your one and only mistake which led to a cascading effect.
I don't blame you for what happened with Akshara after that or the tashan between you and Akshu, or your ignorance towards Aru or your lingering feelings towards Akshu. You paid the price of one single mistake taken in the heat of the moment many times over.
You almost lost the love of your life and if your pain and suffering during that time didn't redeem you for everyone, I don't think anything else ever will. Not that you needed redemption in my eyes. You were forced to operate on the girl you loved and lived to tell the tale.
You have shed tears throughout the series, but the copious amounts of unshed tears bear testimony of your pain and heartache. You are not perfect Dr. Abhimanyu Birla, but you are the best.
For someone who can profess his love constantly, not be scared of the society he lives in and bares his heart and soul in front of everybody, love unconditionally inspite of the baggages of his past and still care and respect the girl he loves not withstanding the poor example of a father that he has in front of him deserves all appreciation and applause.
Do I respect you? Yes.
Do I care for you? Oh yes!
Do I love you? A million times yes!!!
Here is to wishing that you finally get the love that you deserve and we get to see our AbhiRa together.
And a special thank you Dr. Abhimanyu Birla for being the way you are. Flawed but redeemable and lovable.
With Love
Yours
Forever Admirer
PS: Special thanks to Harshad Chopda for portraying Abhimanyu.
