Akshara started all of this by rejecting Abhimanyu without giving him an actual reason. We all knew and understood but he didn't. He himself was being silly by not asking the right questions and instead was busy being an emotional fool in front of her. What Akshara did in the beginning basically set off the chain of events that followed.
Abhimanyu never really wanted to get married but due to his mother's health he was compelled to act and in his anger told his father to choose whomever as he didn't care. Harshvardhan took advantage of the situation and made sure to pick Arohi as he liked her from the very beginning. At least Abhimanyu told Arohi the truth that he would always love Akshara. Arohi in her own fantasies about being the best just thought score I got my shiny trophy. I'll take it whatever way I can. She never loved him in the first place. So to me I do not feel as bad for her because she never really valued him as a person.
This post accident Akshara I think has finally awoken to the reality of her position in the her own family. This girl just got hit by a truck and had a complicated surgery. She woke up a day later to be discharged from the hospital under the care of her own family? That makes no sense. While the family keeps saying how they will take care of her they then proceed to agree to continue forward with wedding preparations. The girl hasn't even walked on her own yet and the next day in the morning a haldi ceremony and at night the wedding? Are you serious? Not one single person stood there ground and went no, not until Akshara is better I am sorry. The health of my sister/niece/grand daughter/great grand daughter is important.
And while that whole MD discussion was going on with Arohi, Akshara realized that this sacrifice that she made was a waste. It was all for nothing. Arohi did not value Abhimanyu instead all she can see is being a power couple. Using Abhimanyu's name and his position in society as a doctor to elevate her own social standing personally and professionally. Arohi is willing to take a exam on her wedding day and no one knows about it and she isn't' telling anyone. (The only reason Arohi is telling Akshara is she hopes that Akshara will help clean up her mess like always) There is no love. In the beginning she thought Arohi will take care of Abhimanyu as she loves him. But now she realizes this isn't love.
Honesty this whole situation is a mess. Both the sisters are treating Abhimanyu like he's some toy to pass around. Abhimanyu cannot stay away from Akshara. Akshara tries to tell him to honor the rishta but she herself unconsciously does not want that to happen and keeps showing up in front of him or lectures him when they both should just ignore each other.
Arohi will get a betrayal but it wasn't like she knew it would not be coming. She knows Abhimanyu loves Akshara and she also knows Akshara loves Abhimanyu. She knew she could guilt Akshara into giving Abhimanyu up because she has done this thousands of times before for things she wanted and Akshara has always compiled and let her have it.
This time Akshara isn't going to do that. She is going to do something for herself. So I see a secret mandir marriage coming with Abhi and her. Then they will slowly convince the families to agree to their union and we will have a big wedding.
