Me too, south indians are really connected to their culture or so I have noticed just like rajsthanis.

You know shivaji and ma gauri are worshiped as ideal couple. There's a fasting called "mansavasa somvat vrath" young girl keep fast for 16 Mondays every year for 4years to get a husband like Mahadev.
