Ishwari was a paain... The sad fact is, I've seen such mothers, IRL. And it's just sad. But with Manjiri, I have hope that she won't be out and out Ishwari. She'll be a little bit more understanding, since she WANTED Abhi to get married. Ishwari toh was in dual minds all the time. She wanted her son all to herself.

But I do hope, the Sona-Ishwari thing doesn't repeat here. Because I can't. Dealing with it in that show only was enough 🙏

I m also keeping hope for that only bcoz dev and abhi characters also different,but we don't know how they will bring twist here with manjiri almost indirectly she ruined abhira,i feel harsh instigate when abhi will give more time to akshu that one will come...i dont want other ishwari it's enough..even sona and akshu characters are strong but lovestory also different here..that's why i m keeping hope manjiri atleast she will give space to them...

She is not a bad actress, she is gujrati theatre veteran and has played various roles, ranging from comedy to drama , she is playing the character as a highly emotional confused soul who gets easily anxious. Many people who have anxieties have change in voice and expressions.

I don't mind Manjari 😆 She has her problems for sure but I don't dislike her nor do I like her. I'm indifferent she is just there. As long as she treats Akshara all right I'll continue being fine with her.

Yes, I was about to mention this. I read in an article that she is theatre actress. This means she is a very good actor. She may be over stressing the facial expressions because in theatre your audience is seated far away so you may have to exaggerate her facial expressions so the audience can see.

I don't mind the actress, but what baffles me is how Manjiri is as a character. For someone who proclaims so much love for her child, who shares a spl bond with him, who can read his mind like the back of her hand, it's soooo weird to see how she's failing at legit everything xD

She is just turning a blind eye to everything.

It was extremely saddening to see her run as soon as Harsh called her, saying he'll get mad. What is this man. You indulge this behaviour of Harsh. Why? He needs to be told that he's not the king of the world. You have to draw the line somewhere.

Anyway, I hope the precap has SOME truth in it. She has to redeem herself by fixing stuff. And what I'll go and ask Abhi, he'll lie man. You have to understand him.

Manjari is a bit all over the place but I have a feeling it's because of her relationship with Harshvardhan. He emotionally messes with her all the time and is disrespectful. I think once their situation is sorted we will see a more calmer Manjari.

As others have pointed out, methinks the issue is with the character sketch and probably the interpretation by Ami(the actress) which seems to have been okayed by the director.

She is a people pleaser, chronically suppressed and at the moment also coming across as someone with poor IQ/EQ. If someone with this is given current script with current dialogues and no advise to interpret differently, she is bound to think she is doing a marvellous job. 😫

Someone needs to send her a memo on how she is being perceived!

I do think her eq is low, maybe due to chronic abuse and failed expectations, she seems to be someone who is harder on herself than others and tries to measure her every step but still it leads to something or other.

When the writer sketched her character… either he would have been sleeping or under some major threat in life… People in pura sense and alive can’t sketch a character like her….

Harsh, Mahima and Arohi have grey shades in their personality but they don't pretend to be otherwise. They are like Kavya of Anupama. Straightforward, manipulative, unapologetically ambitious, will do anything for what they want. Harsh has been bitter but always calls a spade a spade. He is not averse to criticism too, even if it comes from his own son. He stands his ground. So I felt bad how Arohi and mahima are, at times, but I appreciate harsh for not being a hypocrite..

I really want to empathise with her, yet find her to be so oxymoronic!
She has been abused, so her expectations should be restrained or realistic? somehow I don’t get a sense that she thinks it through v well

1. she has chosen a bahu who can meet ‘Birla standard’ yet have enough time and empathy to bring her up to modern times. Like really?? Why not expect that from ur own family kids?

2. She knows her son loves her the most and will do anything to keep her happy, yet after he mentioned he loves Akshu, she still is keen for a trophy wife for him. Even if she doesn’t know that the 2 girls are not similar… at least she should have by now felt that Abhi will not be happy with a spouse who is like rest of the doctor clan!

4. She knows what using other people for self gain feels like, yet she had no qualms in seeking Akshu’s help at various times.

Plus she has been hiding a secret for so many yrs.

The character has a lot going on but now audience don’t want to see her story coz it’s so inconsistent and OTT at times🤷‍♀️

I feel writers are not giving a lot of thought to many characters, but i do think abhimanyu is more of a father to manjari than she is a mother to him. He enables her behaviour with his loyalty, no matter how much you love your mother but you being unhappy will never bring happiness to her. So i think the dynamic needs to change with abhimanyu being less of a matryr and manjari being more of a human than a caricature.
