Which character had the most growth in YRKKH?

Someone made a thread about which non-romantic relationship was the best and that gave me this idea. Which character on YRKKH had the most growth on the show?

For me, it would be Rajshri and Vishambhar. When they started out in YRRKH, they were absolutely against love marriage as a concept. Rajshri was also strict with Akshara about meeting boys. Slowly they grew with the times. Vishambhar was the one to advocate for Anshu and Jasmeet's inter-community marriage. They then participated in Rose and Yash's interracial marriage. And then on YRHPK, they were such fierce, feminist parents for Mishti. Rajshri urged Mishti to stop her wedding with Nannu and recognized that the Maheshwaris were inadvertently pressurizing her to get married, something she would never have done on YRKKH with Akshara or even Ananya. Vishambhar took Mishti home from the Rajvansh house after she was humiliated by her mother-in-law over her inability to conceive. He put his daughter's self-respect first instead of her "sasural." Even when Akshara went blind due to her accident and Naitik was in over his head in taking care of her, Vishambhar put Akshara's well-being first and took her home rather than try to appease her husband and in-laws.

It's a hit and miss. Some characters are just love: Mishti, Abir, Rajshri, Vishambhar, Parul. Even Nannu makes a cameo appearance and he is good too (for the most part). Kunal (Abir's brother) is a grey character. Kuhu, Jasmeet, and sometimes even Varsha are intolerable. Jasmeet and Varsha's characters got butchered beyond extent. Meenakshi (Abir's mother) is outright evil.

I watched until the leads got married. After that the lockdown happened pretty soon and the show went haywire. So I stopped watching.

Dont forget Abir's Nanu, he was too cute nd was a very positive character.

The worst thing they did was ruining varsha !! She was so positive in yrkkh.

And talking abt yrkkh the leads nvr had a character growth, goenkas became worse, they ruined singhanias as well. Literally it's been 5 years of kaira nd there is hardly any growth!! Infact there is no proper characterization for anyone not even kartik or sirat.

Ok...so as I said I started watching it after naira's entry... So I found that there is no proper wala chr growth... But growth in chr was in bits and pieces ...not a growth of a single chr throughout these 5 years

But out of these , I find mohena's kirti had shown proper and maximum growth... Like how she was so fearful for her family respect, she tolerated every torture for her family namesake... But then slowly she built her own personality...and when she got to know that naksh and her marriage truth, she took decision to be with naksh only on her own without anyone's influence.... Then she started working.... N finally she had enough courage to question even kartik.... she had her own insecurity ,her own flaws but that's fine for me

Yepp. The characters that die or written off are better with this show.

Makers tried to get a new girl to be paired up with naitik and do a kaafi late marriage same like his father. Now that track did not work, so he was out.

They tried to retain atleast raj panna's wife (forgot her name. She is mishti's granny) by having her shout occasionally saying me me I am still relevant. But can't remember about what but she had some tashan with k dadi.

For me it's gayatri akshara saas

In the first she is very much in traditions conservative type when akshara got married she wants her bahu as doormat type bahu vohi kare jaise uss ghar ke tarike hai aapne maan aur icha se nahi but slowly slowly she change by time ya it's definitely becoz of akshara and time to time their relationship become matured and sweet sour relation and both understand each other

So for I think gayatri for me and ya also Rajshri and Vishambhar too love old yrrkh that's really a ideal and a beautiful show

Kirti was such a beautiful character. A very sensitive representation that even if you are a woman born into luxuries, your life can still be a wreck due to misogyny. Even if you are born into a joint family, you can still be alone. That standing up to domestic violence isn't easy. But through confidence & self-love, you can build a life that you truly deserve.

Loved that she was the one to choose Naksh. Also how her & Naksh's relationship evolved after their wedding. Kirti's trauma didn't vanish overnight after her divorce. Naksh, Naitik, & daadi's helped her heal. Eventually, she gained enough confidence to argue with the same Naksh whenever she felt he was wrong.
