Kartik's grief flip flops

Kartik's not even looking at sirat in the eye in their scenes

Several things about his grief dont make sense to me - why would he hide naira's pictures but then speak about how he needs to keep her memory alive in the kids minds.

Like please stop forgetting things written literal two episodes ago to show us weird scenes -- to connect sirat and kartik - or belittle her in front of him

for eg naira in that 70's theme party looking as hideous as sirat in that wig😵

why out of all pictures would kartik pick that picture?

and wear a suit to celebrate his anniversary i have never seen a more lame excuse to show a random party on this show and there have been some really bad ones before

there could be much less expensive ways to do this

also that would help the kiddo grieve

Kartik became protective of his kids after nairas death but readily handed the kid over to dushman guy whom he barely knew🤢

well we all seen the rest of them give akshu to rhea but shes a relative

it was a pathetic scene. He doesnt even know that guy...

Also sirat's request wasnt a bad one.

Also didnt like it when he roughly placed kairav on the back of the car. I guess he needs to be mad in that scene but i didnt like seeing it...

Coming back to future of this track we all know naira is alive 🤔all we are going to see is sirat cry over her love for kartik bond with kairav and suddenly there will be some secret out naira is alive and in a comma somewhere

Eh, IMO it's realistic. There isn't one, linear way to process grief. Kartik wants to hide Naira away as a husband. But keep her memories alive as a father. It's has only been a few months, he's still learning how to navigate. It's also a reaction to Sirat showing up in Kairav's life.

And he didn't hand Kairav over to a stranger. Kairav was right in front of him. He only wanted the Dushman guy to take Kairav out of his earshot for a minute.

Also yes, Kartik scolding Kairav was harsh. But we've all seen parents react that way when kids get out of control. Often times even more harshly.

Finally, we don't know if Naira is alive or not. Even the writers don't. She might never be brought back if Kartik-Sirat are accepted by the audience.

I so agree with this. I am quite surprised with how Kartik's character is being written till now. People are afraid that he will be ruined because of two potential third angles but that hasn't happened till now and I hope it continues this way.

For me, closing of the box meant him distancing himself from Naira and her memories, so as to not be reminded of her being gone forever. A constant reminder would only make him weak and might make me act irrationally i.e. trying to take his own life. For him, his mind needs to be constantly present for his kids and he can't let a moment of weakness overpower him.

Sirat has taken him back to where he didn't want to be in the first place but since her presence is strong, he needs to remember Naira, so that again, he doesn't fall weak.

I guess its a complicated situation, one with no right and wrong answer.

As for scolding Kairav, it seemed more like frustration to me because he doesn't want to give his kid false hope. Its all for him and Akshu at the end of the day.
