He has ample of time on his hands to do anything or react to anything naira says... but when he should take his own responsiblity...he just is like i want kairav...which literally means naira will be tied to kartik whole life....and if she didnt sent divorce papers then he would stay married to naira but will do all rituals with vedika ? And niw when she finally signed the divorce papers i cant understand him. What does he want... he wants naira as his bache ki maa and vedika as his trophy wife this is what it seems from neutral pov. Also someone said about why naira is bending towards vedika...is because she is unaware of their feelings...she still thinks that what she heard by both vedika and kartik...it was a love marriage and she is solely responsible for destroying a ghar or home because she came back. And also vedika literally threatened her with kairavs illness...and made suicide attempt. In Friday’s episode Kartik said on hand there is Naira, someone whom he’s gonna love forever and on the other hand, there’s Vedika whom he is married to yet he doesn’t feel anything towards her. He considers her a “friend”.

I get it’s hard for Kartik. Obviously we can’t fully blame Vedika here (ignoring her blackmailing and manipulation) because she didn’t marry Kartik knowing he has a son or that his dead wife would return. I don’t expect Kartik to just go up to her and tell her to leave because that’s unfair on her.

At the same time, I want him to think what anyone is getting out of this forced marriage. Lives of four people are being ruined here just because he sees Vedika as his responsibility. How is he even fulfilling his responsibility towards her? If anything, he’s hurting her by giving her this fake illusion of a life together when in reality he knows there is no future for them. Just to spare Vedika those few days of heartbreak, he will make the four suffer for the rest of their lives?

If Vedika is a “friend”, first of all, she would understand where Kartik is at. A friend won’t try to sleep in your room knowing fully well what you are going through. Anyways...

If she’s a friend, Kartik should have the guts to talk to her. Be honest with her. Right now I just don’t understand what he wants. As you said, he’s divorced Naira. If he was trying to keep Naira close by fighting for custody, he wouldn’t have signed the divorce papers. The only message he’s given to everybody’s right now is that everything is over between him and Naira. Why would Vedika want an out when Kartik is giving her no reason to do so? When she came to his room, instead of asking her to give him space, he decided to make an excuse. Is he gonna make excuses all his life or he knows deep down a day would come when he will do the inevitable and actually start a life with Vedika because she’s his “responsibility”.

Kartik is ready to fight with Naira over his son. He’s ready to put his son through the trauma yet he can’t man up and have a discussion with Vedika? Don’t get me wrong, my heart goes out to him for what he’s going through, but I won’t sit here and say he’s not to blame for half of it.

Both Kartik and Naira have prioritised Vedika over their son. Naira’s doing it intentionally, Kartik not so much.

Hehehe its very funny that when he listens about abortion he doesnt care anything about her...what about her health....and all thoese things.... he shoves and pushes her around when she refuses to answer...its like after getting married you are obliged to answer every question.... anyways... he doesnt care then ...he taunts her.... where is that kartik who cared for naira more then the baby ? Who signed abortion papers without her knowledge? And then when he hears her saying about how for kairav she is ready to give up the custody....and she will still be happy....he goes around and defends her in court ? I dont understand ....at one point he doesnt even care that what was the problem he would just force the answers...and on the other hand when he was satisfied that she is ready to give up ...he suddenly cares?

Can someone please explain what kind of love or should i say care this is ?

I am afraid this Vedika’s ex track is to garner more sympathy for Vedika. Kartik may start bending towards her after getting a closure with Naira in the court. As per the on location videos, its very clear that Kartik has forgiven Naira for her plight. Now what, he has a wife who thinks is his responsibility, he cant go to Naira now. At the same time this Vedika’s ex track is introduced may to make it acceptable if Kartik goes close to her for protecting her :(. Just a thought as makers are already on Ekta kapoor’s way , this is what she does in every other show , somehow convinces the viewers that its ok for the male lead to move on with other woman to fulfill his responsibilities :( i hope i am wrong

The episode seemed unnecessary to me. I think till now Naira was receiving the slack for not thinking about Kairav and Kartik, so she will be shown as the bigger person by giving Kartik the sole custody. Seems stupid bc he never asked for it. If she’s bothered about her kid, she would agree to joint custody and stop giving two hoots about Vedika. How is she coming across as the better parent or a bigger person by resigning Kairav to Kartik? A child needs his mother, everyone knows that, so does Kartik. What is she trying to prove?

As for Kartik’s reaction, again completely unnecessary if a day later he would be shown fighting for her in the court. As I said, they want Kartik to get equal slack, hence him entertaining the possibility of Naira aborting the baby to get back at him.

Idek what they are implying anymore. Why does Kartik need a reminder to take a stand for Naira? Is their love so dead that they can’t even read the other person? Why go on about trust and understanding when there’s none left in their relationship.

I dont know why she even opted to give him custody... but shivi in iv said that naira is scared that if kairav gets to know about what is happening he will be heartbroken. Thus she doesnt want anymore of this and kartik made it clear that he is goimg to win by hook or crook. Thus they want us to sympathise with both characters but here both are looking dumb and kartik even more to me. His love or trust is gone.... he didnt even bother to inquire about nairas health....or kairavs for that matter he was only wanting to jamao haq.... anyways... also in one iv mohsin said that naira is so deep into vedikas thoughts that she cannot think of anything else.

She also has i think zero choice.

If she doesnt give up custody...it will be snatched as per rumors. And if she gets the custody which i dont think she will...but it will go like this that naira will tell kartik all this about how she is giving up...his ego boosts...he cries and realises how he did that to her...he goes into court....stands up for her withdraw thw case...and naira wins. And i dont see any point of that.

They took a turn by introducing vedikas ex. They wanted her to exit this way.... so this whole custody case was total waste of time.....

I think this is exactly what they are trying to do. Remember the story of King Solomon and the two women fighting over a baby - King Solomon says to cut the baby in half but only one woman then says that the baby should be just given to the other woman and is judged to be its true mother. Naira's giving custody to Kartik after her speeches about how Kairav is her life and she is only living because of him is to show him how she is the better parent. I read the segment where Kartik will berate himself and call himself nalaik baap etc.

I don’t think there’s anything as a better parent when both parents are doing what they think is the best for the kid. Their routes may be different but their intention is the same.

I don’t think I need to establish that a child needs both his parents in his life to be happy. So, Kartik was fighting for joint custody; Kairav gets to stay with Naira and Kartik could visit him whenever he wished. Kartik agreed to withdraw the case so as to not hurt Kairav if Naira promised him that she won’t take Kairav to another city.

Naira, on the other hand, was fighting for sole custody. She wanted to move to Goa and claimed that she wasn’t separating Kairav from Kartik, however, living in a different city is more or less the same thing. Her new proposal is that she will give Kairav’s custody to Kartik so that he can stay with Kartik and would probably move to Goa herself, hence separating Kairav from herself.

My point is, how is this any better than what she was doing earlier on? She’s still separating Kairav from one of his parents. So it’s not like he’s gonna be any less hurt when he learns the truth. Kartik’s proposal would cause him the least amount of hurt, even when he learns the truth because he would know he has both his parents, even if they aren’t together.

To me, the cvs are making Naira appear stupid because she’s time and again prioritising Vedika over her son. She’s not being selfless nor is she thinking about Kairav. Thinking about Kairav would have been agreeing to joint custody. This is just to make her appear as the better parent because as I mentioned earlier, they need Kartik to share the blame for everything. I don’t even see why Kartik is apologising for trying to separate a mother from his child, when he never suggested that.
