Is this only me who go Rofl the moment they start making a gigantic hallaboo of an innocent MRI Machine!

I mean even during Brain clot track they exaggerated the idiosyncrasy and now again Naira was pleading to the doctor to put her in MRI Machine but save her child!!!

How can any sane person equate both the things, like Naira did? Rather cvz did , time and again. Phew!

LOL. They act like a MRI machine is deep fryer or an oven where you get baked.

I dont think any of you ever been in a MRI machine so it's easy for you to think it's painless or harmless but being in such confined space for not even few min but could be close to an hour or even more depending on your situation isn't as harmless as you may think especially for people who are claustrophobic and no you don't fall asleep in there dear. It can be the most scariest experience for some people.

I work in the medical field and have had multiple MRI's. For younger kids they used to give something to make them drowsy so that they fall asleep because it is really important to be still.

For adults it is expected that they are not going to behave like Naira but if some have anxiety issues then I have seen people take a muscle relaxer or a sedative because they are supposed to be still with their eyes closed. They are monitored throughout the process. Patients are even given headphones so that they can listen to relaxing music while the MRI takes place. There are also different models of MRI machines. Not all of them are like shown where you go in a tunnel. A radiologist and a technician is always present.

i think i have been in an MRI machine when i was young. they sedated me so that i dont move. confused if it was an MRI or CT scan. but i remember that both were taken.

Anyway its not something painful to be scared of. giving blood or an injection is more painful

Sorry to say, then you have never met a claustrophobic person. For them, MRI is matter of life and death. My grandma is extremely claustrophobic, and she could not undergo MRI for her surgery, even though that surgery was extremely critical for her life.

Its not about sedation. The fear is embedded so deep, it is life-threatening for them to undergo MRI
