There was a lot more participation in the forum during Anmol/Mansi's wedding compared to now. It has slowed down. Has YRKKH been stretched too long? It's been 9 years now. No show can go on forever but it is the writers choice how they make their characters behave. Storyline seems to be going in circles. (misunderstandings, separation, and milan and then misunderstandings, separation, and milan again) How many times can they repeat this formula without Kaira not having a final milan and then having kids. I just can't envision them as parents at all as they are two kids themselves. Perhaps this is why they decided to grow the Singhania family with Keerti being pregnant.
They have saturated the storylines, but the show won't end anytime soon considering it's number 1 (just ignore Naagin since it's seasonal). I feel like the writers have restricted themselves by not introducing more characters in the Goenka family. Previously, Naitik was shown to have two sisters, Mohit as a best friend, Akshara had a brother, best-friend, cousin, etc, the show had different storylines for each character, but obviously Naitik and Akshara were always fully involved in the tracks.
Now, after the generation leap, the whole show and each track just revolves around Kartik and Naira, which as a fan might seem good, but eventually they will run out of ideas, which is what seems to have happened now. None of their cousins like Gayu are present, they don't have friends, they hardly have any substantial storyline for Keerti and Naksh, Shubham has been killed off for not a good enough reason.
The crux of Yrkkh was family, where it focussed on each and every relationship, be it saas-bahu, devrani-jethani, brothers, SIL- bhabi, just to name a few, but since almost two years it's all about Kaira. The show is becoming so Ektaish due to that reason (Kartik and Naira solve a family matter, followed by few cute scenes, they seprate due to a misunderstanding and lack of communication, two/three arguments followed by a reunion, mushy romance, baby talks, community service, fight, separation, etc, etc).
PS: I am not complaining about the screen time that Kaira get, it's good for us as fans, however, it does take away from the show in the long run, when everything's just shown from the point of view of two characters.
