After going through a number of posts here, the only inference I can draw is that everyone here thinks that cvs have messed up this show to such an extent that it reall needs a lot of repairs to bring the old charm back

i dont hate it tbh i dont quiet like it sometimes
i love the show i have faith that they will make it good ( there is only 20 mins a day...so with so many diff things happening at once there is bound to be episodes that just have no content /filler episodes that set the tone for the damaka ones)
plus i have a weird obsession with shivin that makes me want to see anything with both of them near each other❤️ holding hands interacting...looking at each other...

I have watched this show from the very beginning. The rapport between Singhania's and Maheshwari's was very good. They had really become one big family. That sense of family and unity changed with bringing in the Goenka family and there was more negativity which I didn't see in the show at this level before. With the introduction of the character of Shubnam, his death, the leap, and then everything that happened after that the storyline just went downhill.

The characters kept changing each episode and the direction of the story got lost. Writers claim this to be realistic and reflected "nayi soch" which viewers feel is unrealistic. This has frustrated a lot of the viewers that see so much potential for this show.

@Bold- I'm so glad someone brought this up. I was not a reg viewer of the show before kaira, although I saw a few episodes here and there over the years, and one thing I have noticed is that with the intro of the goenka's, the show has become more regressive via the portrayal of the views and the behaviour of the goenka's towards family traditions and more specifically, their daughter-in-law.

Singhania's were very traditional and conservative too but they changed with the time. For example in the beginning Akshara always used to have her head covered and eventually Dada ji saw that this was not needed. Several times a week we would see the Singhania's do pooja and Akshara would sing.
They don't show these type of scenes anymore. It is said Hina Khan sang in her real voice which is very beautiful. Singhania's were very rich and in the jewelry business and the Maheshwari's were in the hotel business. Now Naitik has a passion for cooking which his son Naksh has (opening of Krishna) and Naira likes dancing so she wanted to open a dance school.

Goenka family had lots of broken relationships that needed mending. In the Singhania home Naira was a bit of a rebel and ran away in her early teenage years which took her to Rishikesh where she eventually met Karthik. She ran away because she felt responsible for her friend's death. (the girl jumped off the train) Karthik helped to mend Naira's relationship with her mom Akshara while Naira tried to mend the family relations of the Goenka family.
