Summary: After signing the divorce papers Kartik moves back to Udaipur with his family. Suvarna thinks everything will go back to the way it was.

Kartik walked in just before the pooja can begin, he had been spending lots of time at the office since he had come back to Udaipur. Suvarna sighed in relief, as he sat down. His face was a void of emotion. Dadi was busy talking to the pandit about something.

"Because of the ma ka pyaar(LOL made up) dhosh the planets were not in your grandson's favour, so in his life there was only darkness. After doing this pooja he will find happiness again, whatever he asks for he will receive, as well as peace and harmony may be restored to your family The priest said to Dadi.

"Oh really? Kartik asked sarcastically, he had been rather quiet since he had come back home. She had missed hearing his voice.

"Yes son The priest said with a kind smile completely missing his tone.

"Then why doesn't every damn person in the world do this prayer and get happy? If it's so damn easy? He asked in a hard voice.

The priest looked at him shocked. Kartik blinked as if he had finally realized what he had said. Dadi glared at him, while he just rubbed his forehead not even noticing her.

"Kartik Suvarna said, reaching out to touch him. He stared at her hand.

"I am sorry He muttered automatically without emotion after a minute. His shoulders slummed defeatedly and the pooja began after a few minutes.

Suvarna spied on Kartik in his room. His back was turned away from her.

"Who were you with? Why did he touch... She overheard him saying on the phone. Kartik was holding his phone so tight it looked like it would snap in half.

"DON'T HANG... He swore and threw his phone against the wall. Suvarna flinched as, he kicked the table to the side.

"Door nahi ja sakti, mujse, voh door nahi ja sakti He noticed her standing at his door.

"Ma, what is it? He asked his voice cracked slightly, his eyes were on the floor as if she had caught him cheating on a test.

"Come eat something, you have not eaten all day She told him.

"I am not hungry He said shaking his head, his eyes were bloodshot he looked like he had not slept at all last night.

"Kartik what is wrong? She asked him.

"Nothing He replied his mind seemed a million miles away. He looked at his phone on the floor and muttered something that sounded like "Abhi jaana uske poochna, voh muje jawaab...

"Kartik look at me, what is wrong? She asked him, holding his face to force him to look at her.

"When I said once nothing is wrong why are you asking me again and again... He said, pushing her away lightly, his eyes were dark pools of anger.

Kartik went to his dresser and grabbed his keys, muttering something like "She can't do this to me

Kartik never got angry at her? Suvarna found it hard to breath, what was wrong with him? He always no matter what, never got angry with her. Never...Naitik's words echoed in the back of her mind. "Because of your stubbornness, Kartik will never be happy. Nor will your family, this is the curse of a father whose daughters life you ruined
